In 1983 the first Vera Bradley Outlet Sale was held in a 10x10 tent in the parking lot of the original headquarters. This is the reason why it’s sometimes still referred to as the “Tent Sale”.

More than 60 bus tour groups attend the Outlet Sale, with several traveling from as far as West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.

+ -

About 60,000 fans attend each year’s Outlet Sale.

+ -

In 1991, having outgrown the tent, the Outlet Sale relocates to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, filling the 100,000+ square-foot Expo Center.
