Grand Cargo Bag
Fantastic companion to my carry on suitcase
Before I purchased this bag I read all the reviews, and waited until the Summer Sale and my birthday coupon were available to use. I was REALLY worried after reading the reviews on this bag that it would not work for what I wanted to do with it, so instead of ordering it I went to my local Vera store in the mall and tried it out. I tested it on the carry on luggage that they have available at the store, it was all good.
I got the bag, and planned on taking it on a weekend trip to a wedding, I typically travel by air 5+ times a year. This bag served as my companion bag to my carry on luggage.
It fit PERFECTLY under the seat in front of me.
Inside this bag I had...the Vera Crossbody Mailbag(my purse full of my regular contents), the Vera XL Makeup bag(my cosmetics), My iPad, iPhone, a Lulu Scarf, a water bottle, my knitting, my phone and tablet chargers.
In the pockets outside the bag I had...To go tissues, Airborne, my boarding pass, and 3 magazines.
The trolley sleeve was also PERFECT, it slipped right over my handle and kept the bag in place while I navigated the airport.
Don't let the negative reviews on this bag lead you astray, its perfect. I even took pictures to post of it on the plane and with my luggage, but there is no where for me to post them in this review.
I have ALOT of Vera bags, and many Vera travel bags. But I will say that after years of loving Vera. This bag takes the cake for me. Its my favorite!!

Minor improvements will make this a 5 star bag
I'm a frequent business traveler (mostly air travel) and was very excited to get this bag to use with my carry on luggage. I've been using the bag for several weeks now and my biggest issue is that when I use this bag with my suitcase (using the trolley sleeve of course), my entire suitcase keeps tipping over because the bag contents are all over the place and makes my suitcase off balance. The challenge I'm having with the bag could be fixed with two improvements. The first challenge is that when I add my laptop and other items, they shift or fall over inside the bag and cause the bag to "tilt and pull" away from my suitcase even though I'm using the trolley sleeve...the result is that my entire suitcase falls over. The fix could be a simple laptop slot or pocket inside the bag on the same side as the trolley sleeve. This will keep the bulk of the weight right up against the suitcase handle and will prevent tipping. The second suggestion would be to take the inside pockets and move them to the opposite side of the trolley sleeve...because the pockets are right next to the trolley sleeve today, it prevents heavy items like laptops from staying flush with the suitcase handle, causing laptops and heavy items to shift, which causes the suitcase to tip over. Would love to hear back if any of these changes are made because I hate having to hold on to my suitcase with a heavy hand just to keep everything from falling over!

I originally considered purchasing the Grand Traveler after viewing it online, but after a trip to the store, the Grand Cargo seemed better suited for a carry on. My 7-year-old son and I are going to Florida for five days and I was able to pack everything we needed in the bag, so we did not have to check our luggage. There are three options for carrying: over the shoulder, by the handles, or by the trolley sleeve. There are great pockets on the front, plus a zippered pocket for easy access. My only recommendation would be to have zippered pockets on the inside as well. Fantastic product. Thank you Vera for coming through!
