Great for the constant traveler
I wanted a new bag to replace my Betsy when I travel with my MBP, and possibly something that could fit my work laptop when I travel for my job. I'm constantly traveling, within the US and abroad, and so just before my last trip (to India and France) bought myself this in Baroque to use as an every-day bag.
The bag itself I adore! Not having to take the laptop out for TSA is great, and even when I do have to remove it for other countries, I can do so with ease. The other side is very slim which I actually prefer, and so makes me really concentrate on what I'm traveling with. I was able to fit my laptop charger and small notebooks in it for going to and from the office in India, notebooks and iPad for traveling, and love that there's a zipper on top (I'm not a fan of open-top bags). The outside pocket would hold me passport and boarding passes when traveling along with headphones, or pens and ID when at work. This along with my duffel bag and hanging organizer hold all I need for small road trips as well, meaning it's always seeing use.
The only downside for me and why I'm with holding a star is that the velcro started to come up at one corner within a month of purchasing and that's a shame. VB is normally of an impeccable quality and I'd still buy the bag again, but I will most likely have to fix that myself.

Fits the MacBook Pro 15" perfectly!!
Totally agree with TLS256 review below. I was seriously considering NOT buying this tote due to the reviews solely concerning the 15" MBP, however, I found a fantastic deal that was too hard to pass up. I am sooooo glad that I purchased it, as it fits my laptop perfectly!!! I bought the Island Blooms pattern and it is gorgeous. That being said, I wonder if certain batches were possibly cut differently, causing inconsistent sizing? My bag fits perfectly! My only concern is that it is not as nicely padded as my InCase sleeve. I bought this to make room in my shoulder bag, as on any given day, I carry my laptop, 2 textbooks, a thick notebook, the cords, as well as other various class-related items. Now I can carry the laptop and cords as well as my iPad Mini with room to spare, freeing up room in my other bag. This bag is also perfect to use for vertical files and such as it is roughly the same size as my Tote but with a nice divider. Very versatile! Love it!!!!!

Great case but just a wee bit to small
I purchased this wonderful bag hoping it would fit my laptop. I very excitedly brought it home only to find that the Velcro closure was just about one half inch to short therefore I was not able to close it. I really felt bad returning it because it was perfect except for the fit.

THE BEST LAPTOP TRAVEL TOTE EVER!!!
I absolutely love this! It fits my 15" macbook pro (2012) like a glove! I kept reading the reviews & decided not to get it..however, I changed my mind & I absolutely love it. I got it in mocha rouge, it's beautiful!

great for traveling
I have to take my laptop with me when traveling and its such a hassle having to take it in and out of my bag at airport security so I've been looking for a way to make that easier. This bag is perfect! My 11" Macbook Air fits in it perfectly and I have plenty of room for other things like magazines and my ipad. I gave my mother one for her 13" Macbook Pro and she loves it.

Fits Laptop Perfectly!
When I bought this bag, I was very nervous that my new Asus laptop would not fit because of the other reviews I have read. To my surprise, my 16 inch laptop (corner to corner) and 1.5 inches thick fit with ease and even had room for me to put my mouse in the same compartment. The Velcro fit easily over the laptop and with the laptop in the bag, there is still plenty of room to fit books, magazines, folders, my iPod, cell phone and headphones and anything else I might need to travel. The color is absolutely stunning in Rhythm and Blues and I will use this to travel and for school for a long time to come. It is a great piece I can't imagine living without!

Perfect for MacBook Pro 15" Retina!
I was hesitant to get this bag because of the reviews that I had read. However, I got it as a gift, and to my surprise and delight, my 15" MacBook Pro Retina Display fits perfectly! I'm not sure why the other reviewers had problems, but it works splendidly with my laptop, even with a clear case on it. The bag is nicely padded and it is the perfect way to dress up the computer while keeping it safe and sound. The extra section holds the battery as well as other essentials. However, a notebook, magazine, iPad or other items would fit as well. The only thing that it does not have that I would like is a pen holder, but that is minor indeed. Thank you Vera for another perfect bag!

Beautiful tote but didn't fit my 15" MacBook Pro
One of my least favorite things about traveling is having to take my laptop in and out of my bag at every checkpoint, and I searched everywhere to find a travel tote that zipped open at the sides. I am crazy about the 'Ribbons' pattern and I was thrilled when I found this Vera Bradley Laptop Travel Tote. When it arrived at my house, I tried putting my 15" MacBook Pro (late 2012 model) in the laptop sleeve. Sadly the velcro flap was a mere inch too short, and didn't fit my laptop so I had to return it. I was so disappointed! If only the velcro flap had been an inch or two wider, this would have been my dream laptop travel tote. Having said that, I would recommend this pretty tote -- but only if your laptop is 14" or smaller.

Perfect laptop carrier!
The design of this tote is wonderful! I use it everyday to carry my 13" MacBook Air to and from work. The laptop is well-protected in the padded sleeve, there is room for papers on the other side, and the tote is comfortable to carry over my shoulder. And of course, it's beautiful! This is, by far, my favorite and most useful VB I've ever bought! I highly recommend this tote if you have a smaller laptop, want the shoulder straps, and don't want, or need, a lot of extra room in the carrier.

Great for work!!
I use this everyday, not just to travel. It fits my laptop perfectly and i can get papaers, notebooks and extras into the other section. Most people do not even realise i am carrying a laptop.
It looks chci and professional.....I love it!!
