I feel like I strut around in style with this one! I got this in midnight blues and the colors are just so beautiful! only thing is, it did flip up on me when it was pretty windy but when I flipped it back, it wasn't broken! when I had my other umbrellas, they broke quickly so I really love using this umbrella!

I purchased this umbrella in Priscilla pink. And the auto feature is great! Because other umbrellas pinch your fingers when you try to put it up. But sometimes the umbrella blew inside out. But,other than that I recommend this product. I hope this is helpful information:)

Broke after second use
I used this umbrella twice. The next time I tried to open it ,it would not open. The auto open/close refused to work. It was jammed and would not open. I wrote to your company about this problem and received no response. I'm really disappointed that you don't stand behind your products enough to even warrant a reply.

I Really Wanted To Like It!
I agree with the other reveiwer... beautiful, but too flimsy. I used it for the first time a day ago while it was sprinkling and a rather weak gust of wind almost turned it inside out.

Good umbrella, but past models are higher quality.
I have the new umbrella design in Tutti Frutti. My mom has the umbrella in a pattern from a few years back, Safari Sunset. There is a noticeable difference in quality. For example, the handle on my mom's is metal; mine's plastic. When you open my mom's umbrella, the mechanisms are strong - it springs outward with a little force and opens all the way after pressing the button. Mine's weaker - it opens halfway when you press the button, and then stops, meaning you have to open it the rest of the way yourself.
However, my new umbrella is still very nice. It does a good job keeping the rain off my head, looks cute, opens every time I press the button, the closing strap seems well-attached, and it came with a matching cover. I'm not sorry that I got it, and I would recommend it over a cheap-o one. Had I never known what the past umbrellas were like, I would love it. But since I know and was looking forward to getting one exactly like my mom's, I'm a little disappointed.

Purchased at the outlet sale
This worked when I got it home, but the first time I took it out in the rain it broke. It just stopped opening, useless. I took it back to the store by my house for a full refund. Stick with what Vera is known for, BAGS.

Absolutely beautiful but not durable
I have two Vera umbrellas but unfortunately neither held up to careful use. I have never had other umbrellas break like these have (I even avoided using them on windy days). Very disappointing because they are so cute & cheer up a rainy day.

Pretty but hard to hold
I have purchased many VB umbrellas in the past so I wanted a newer pattern and bought one in Plum Crazy. What a disappointment to see how the quality has changed from what was a great product to a mediocre product. The handle is so flimsy and small that it is difficult to hold on to and the metal used is thin and weak! The open and close button does not work consistently. Please review this product for quality and stability!!! Buyer beware!

Don't Like this , product cheaply made for price.
This umbrella is cheaply made for the price; it is not sturdy enough-not even the handle.I can buy one that is 50% less of the price than the VB umbrella and have similiar parts. I bought the "Thirty one" brand umbrella which its sturdy ,similiar design, little bigger than this umbrella and is a few dollars less.Ladies don't even bother to purchase this if you are going to use this product frequently.

This is one of the best umbrellas I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of umbrellas. The auto open/close feature is amazing. Let me say it again- auto close! When I'm trying to get out of the rain into a warm, dry building, I just press that little button and my umbrella is closed, leaving me free to waltz through the door and laugh at all the poor schmucks outside fiddling with their cumbersome umbrellas, trying to close them fast.
The case- the only time I've had any major leakage from the cover is when it's been raining like nobody's business, and even then it just makes things damp. On a regular rainy day, I can pop the umbrella in the cover and then into my bag, and everything's great.
Durability- so far (and I've had it almost a year), it seems pretty durable. In high winds the auto-close function doesn't work all that great, but then again most umbrellas have trouble closing in high winds. In comparison to a lot of other umbrellas, it seems to be pretty tough. The size is great, too- fits perfectly into most of my purses.
