Just What I Needed This is perfect for every day and travel. I can fit my Kindle, phone, and other "must have" articles. So much more than I expected! Love this new bag, the short handles and the longer strap are right on track. I bought the Safari Sunset and it is even more beautiful in person than the picture shows. Loads of space and storage pockets in and outside. I wish there were more choices, I would get many more for Spring, Winter and Summer colors!!!!! This bag is a winner. Regarding long strap - To Helluva (who wrote review before this one) - I think you are attaching the long handle wrong, it attaches to rings on the 2 rolled handles, you can see if you look at the picture of this purse larger, the picture showing the purse open... I think you'll find it makes much more sense and the zippers will stay closed! July 4, 2012
Great for a costume, but not for everyday :( I don't understand this satchel. The snaps of the large strap attach to the 2 zippers? The bag isn't fully closed!! GGGRRR!!! :[[[ That makes no sense. I thought I'd be able to use this as an everyday purse, but I can't. I'd worry too much items would fall out of it or that the zippers would pull away & leave it more open. I will be using it for my Mary Poppins costume for Halloween though. I go this in the Sunset Safari print & it'll make a good carpet bag. If this had a regular zipper & the bigger strap just attached to the bag the regular way I would have been thrilled since I love all of my VB bags. June 5, 2012
Great space, Not long enough strap I like this bag because of how much space it has and that it can be converted to either type of bag. However, I didn't like how short the strap was. As an owner of a hipster I thought, "Oh, the strap will be long and I could wear it like the hipster." It's not. I am not a fan of purses that go on the same shoulder it hangs off of. I really actually like this bag just using the handles without the strap! It's great for taking to the pool because it can hold sunscreen/tanning lotion, a towel, a coverup, a magazine, and a snack. Love, love, love this bag. I own many products from Vera, however this is my very favorite. It is roomy, has a pouch on outside. Opens up completely for location of items, but has gussets so things don't spill out. A flexable bag in that it has handles for carrying by hand or a strap for over the shoulder. Wish it was offered in other pattern/colors. Also, wish the shoulder strap was a little more substantial and about one and a half inches wide, perhaps in a solid woven material. All in all, a great bag!!!!! Vera should expand on this bag. February 15, 2012
Unique Vera Bradley This is the neatest bag! I only saw it online, but liked the size of it to carry my IPad with me. It is very roomy and comfortable to carry. I get lots of compliments on the Plum Petals version of this bag. I will admit I am a VB addict! October 5, 2011
