I have this in ribbons with the lid. I love that it keeps my tea super warm and the lid doubles as a coaster. Cute, just the right size and dishwasher safe. Imagine my dismay when I went to purchase in a new pattern and NO lid! First my favorite bag was discontinued, now no lid. Argh! For all the lid lovers out there, the national book retailer we all know has their own line of lidded mugs. I guess I'll get one of those, but they aren't Vera's cute patterns and that makes me sad. Bring back the lid! This would be a five star review if the mug hadn't changed.

I love this mug! It is a classic coffee mug, like I would expect to see in my grandmother's cabinet. It is the same size and shape as mugs in her coffee set that she received as a house warming gift in the 60s. I am collecting the ones with black in the pattern to complement my black dishes. The only thing I would say is, if you want a large mug (since our society is supersize driven) look at the "classic mug" instead. It holds more, is a good "hand warming" size and stays cooler to the touch. This mug is more formal, yet fun. It's perfect for after dinner coffee, when you don't want to drink too much! This mug is all about looks and elegance. I use them when my girl friends come over for parties! Great for a tea party!

No Lid - No purchase
I had a lovely collection of Vera Bradley mugs, with the LID, but I will not be adding any more mugs since they NO LONGER COME WITH LIDS! Why? Why? Why? How I appreciated having my coffee warm throughout my entire meal - Please listen to the comments of your faithful customers and bring back the lid!

Definitely Needs to be Improved
I recently purchased this mug from Barnes & Noble and it did come with the lid which was a deciding factor for me in purchasing this mug. However, I was immediately disappointed with how narrow the cup really is. In addition when you drink tea or coffee in the mug you can not put your hands around the mug because it is so HOT! The large box that the mug comes in leads you to believe that it is a nice size cup, but, it is not. It is actually unusable for hot beverages because if you happen to touch the cup, you will burn yourself. I can not recommend this product to anyone. Its a shame since I like so much of what Vera Bradley has to offer, but, this is definitely not a product I would ever purchase again nor recommend to anyone.

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BRING BACK THE LIDS!!
I love my Vera Island Blooms mug so darn much that I decided to start collecting them, and what I love most about the mug is THE LID! Yes, it doubles as a coaster. Yes, it keeps my tea and espresso warm. Yes, it is the only porcelain mug on the market that comes with a lid. Oh, wait, IT NO LONGER COMES WITH A LID! Vera Bradley actually had a product that no one else had, and what did they do? They lowered the price by one dollar (yes, one dollar) and discontinued the lid. Who was the evil "genius" behind that marketing snafu? Guess I'll buy up what I can find with lids and then forget about Vera Bradley. Geez.

SUPER SUPER SMALL - DON'T WASTE MONEY
I love VB but this mug is so so small it is ridiculous. I was going to use it as a pencil cup but it is so small that might not even work. It holds 8 oz of liquid and it is microwaveable. But for me, I use large tea and coffee cups and this is so small to ME. If you use small cups you might like this item but to me, this was a royal waste of money. I'd suggest that VB make a coffee mug double this size.

What happened to the lid ?
I LOVE my new mug in Lilli Bell but was disappointed to see the lid is no longer sold with the mugs. WHY ??? The lids are what made the mugs special, without them they become another over priced mug. They keep your tea hot with the tea is seeping. Then I used them as a coaster. PLEASE Vera bring back the lid. Other than missing the lid I am very happy with this mug.

Lilli Bell is beautiful
I know there's a lot of brouhaha about the missing lid on this newest edition of the VB mug but I love mine. Granted, I'm not a collector and never got to experience the lid but it's still a fully-functioning and beautiful mug. The only thing that made me hesitate a bit was the size. It is a small mug, maybe 6 to 8 oz maximum which means I'll just have to pour myself another cup in the morning. The stock photo of Lilli Bell does not do the pattern justice. It's spectacular in person and I don't even like pink.

Not worth the price without the lid.
I loved these mugs because of the lid (and VB pattern of course!), but now the lid is gone, so I will not be collecting any more of these mugs. I loved the lid because I drink tea, and the lid helped the tea bag to steep ... and when I do drink coffee, I like to put the lid on so that the coffee stays warmer longer. Can't believe the lid is gone, and the mug is still the same price ... just not worth it!

LOGGED ON TO BUY ANOTHER ONE BUT WHERES THE LID???
This mug is the cutest mug ever. Its so cute that it makes me look forward to relaxing with a nice cup of tea. The lid/coaster is KEY as it keeps my tea warm. Without the lid it is an over priced mug. BRING BACK THE LID!
