Very Pleased Young Business Professional
I got this bag in hopes of it being able to hold my laptop with charger, umbrella, books, notebooks, extra pair of shoes/clothes, and other miscellaneous items. I couldn't have chosen a better bag! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! It has made my life a million times more easier and in a fashionable way. I use it for work and for college classes. I couldn't be happier.
I got it in grey and it is just the right shade!

Best school tote ever
This bag is spacious, very durable, has lots of pockets for me to put all my school supplies. The side magnets helps keep all my stuff from sliding around and the straps are long enough so the bag is laying flush to my side and not behind my arm. The lining is durable enough so textbooks dont't rip it after a week. The outside pockets are great for keys, glasses, or cell phones. Overall I am very satisfied with this bag.

Great size Tote
I ordered this tote after admiring it for probably a year. I needed something that would fit college books, laptop, lunch, and a change of clothes in case I go to the gym. This works so well! I only have to carry one bag for all the above! I am in absolute love! This is the perfect size to carry for college and looks more professional than the flower Vera designs. There are multiple pockets inside that hold misc. items such as the super drive and charger for my laptop, a scientific calculator, pens and pencils, flashcards, etc. There are also two exterior slip pockets that welcome a cell phone and keys to keep them close so you're not searching through the bag. I can fit my laptop, one college book, lab notebook, 0.5 inch three ring binder, spiral notebook, Brita water bottle, and the Vera lunch cooler turned on it's side. There's even a little room left for a pair of jogging shorts and a t-shirt! I've used it for about a month and it has held up well so far. (and I haven't noticed it making any noise...?)

office boxy tote
This is a beautiful and professional looking tote for work. As a teacher I wanted a functional yet stylish briefcase to carry my materials, books, to work. This tote impresses with its looks but its functionality needs improvement. My books slide to the bottom of the bag and shifts the shape of the bag. Another gripe is that there is no top zipper to keep my things secure. I do not like exposing my contents and this is a big issue for me. Lastly, the bag is quite heavy even when it is empty. Too bad, I so wanted to love this lovely looking bag. I'm thinking of switching to the miller, which has a top zipper and is WAY lighter. WIth the price I paid, I should not have all these issues.

Only Okay
This tote is okay but it's not what I was looking for in terms of style and function. The grey is lighter than I'd expected, so I am concerned that it will show dirt too easily and since I'd planned to use it for a carry-on / work / class bag, I wanted something that could stand a little wear and tear. The top of it does not close as tightly as I had hoped, either, which would be an issue when stowing this on a plane (the closure tab has one setting and this keeps the bag at a minimum of 3 inches open at all times). Also, I thought the prior review that referred to it as "squeaky" seemed a bit odd until I received it. It actually did make noice when I tried carrying it around my house to test out the feel of it. The straps are patent and have no give, so this is probably why. All in all, not a bad bag but not useful for me.

a great over all tote
I just got this bag in grey. I love how it looks. Very appropriate for work, but also casual enough for the weekend. I love the colorful stripped lining inside, makes the bag fun. Several pockets to stay organized. The bottom is sturdier than I thought it would be. The straps are nice, but I think in the winter, it may be a problem to get them over a thick winter coat. Bag is a little heavier than most Vera bags. Very well made, like all Vera products. I think it would also be a great baby bag because of all the pockets. I wish Vera would consider making more bags in this quilted material. Overall, I am happy with the the bag and I love the price I got it for. Incredible quality for the price.

Great for any aged student or professional
This bag is absolutely perfect for a graduate student going into the professional work world soon or the professional. I recevied mine and instantly feel in love with it to the point that all my other bags from the competitors that I own I've listed on ebay. Can actually say how foolish I was spending all that money on those bags to finally find the perfect one with this bag at a fraction of the cost. Thank you Vera Bradley for making this bag and making it in a solid color versus a patterns so that it can fit more appropriately in the executive/professional world

Best tote for the professional on the go!
I just received this and the matching Wallet in Grey Nylon for my birthday. I am a young professional, always on the go, and this tote is perfect for keeping organized! I use it to store all my personal belongings including a wristlet for when I'd like to carry something smaller, medium cosmetic bag, sunglasses, glasses, phone, iPod, large portfolio, large calendar and multiple books. And there is still so much room left! I can't imagine being without this now - it's so versatile and well built. I highly recommend!

Love this bag!
I am giving this 4 stars only because I wish the closure strap on the inside was a bit bigger to offer a little more protection from weather etc. But this bag is everything I have been looking for. It has PLENTY of room for everything and despite what some other reviews mentioned It does hold its shape eve with lots of stuff in it. I am using it for my photo gear bag and school bag and it is marvelous.
