Pleats make a strong fashion statement, especially when featured on this versatile bag! Larger than our regular Tote, this one also zips closed for added security. A dropped yoke provides a slight dip at the arm for comfort. Two wrap around exterior pockets hold larger items, while four interior compartments will keep you well organized.

The Signature Collection is made of 100% cotton. We recommend machine washing (cool/gentle cycle) with mild detergent, then air-drying. Do not bleach. (Please note: Some items have a solid base that must be removed before washing. If the base is sewn in, it can be safely washed.) Vera Bradley does not recommend the use of Woolite®, since it is not recommended for cotton fabrics. Check product care label for further instructions.

Please bring it back! My tote is starting to finally show wear (after using it everyday for 3 years) and I was looking around for a new one and realized that you no longer carry it! What?!?! I guess I'm not going ot be buying anything vera anymore until this bag comes back! I've tried the replacements and they aren't even close to good enough. Love this bag! I own two of the Pleated Tote bags and find them indispensable! They hold all my work and my hobbies and have held up incredibly well. Please bring the Pleated Tote bag back!! It is the perfect-sized tote, not to small like a purse, and not too big like luggage. February 28, 2013
PLEASE BRING IT BACK! I still hate the fact that VB has retired the PT. This is a tremendous purse! It is a great Mommy friendly bag, travel bag or just everyday. There is tons of room with the interior pockets and the two exterior are wildy convenient for keys, or in my case a sippy cup! Also love that it zips for extra security and the straps stay on your shoulders no problem. I can load down a PT with a turn lock wallet, my check book, a large cosmo bag, and my ipad and everything fits with room to spare! No other bag quite measures up. I have tried the go round tote, the campus tote and now the glenna in place of the PT....and it just isn't the same. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new patterns but will not continue to buy VB bags that don't do what the PT did. Please highly consider bringing this bag back!!! November 4, 2012
versatile bag! absolutely love it! I got this bag in CT while visting my sister. We both love VB! She insisted I get it in Folkloirc, she thinks that pattern looks southwestern(I live in AZ). I like the colors of Folkloric, and it is not too orange for my tastes. I got it initially since it was a gonga deal! I really like how versatile it is. I carry a VB clutch style wallet, often grabbing it out of the bag when I go in to shop. I live in the boonies and often my days are long and far awy, so I tend ot carry a wide variety of things in my purse, "just in case I need them". I was not sure at first if I'd like the end wrap around pockets. But they are great! Hold whatever and are high enough that when I carry the bag nothing falls out and is still easily accesible, from phone,to work i.d. and lanyard, to coupons to even a book! It has a removeable base(so bag is washable) so it sits and doe not topple over. The zip top is awesome too! There is a lot to be said for a secure purse! The strap drop is a nice length too.Interior pockets are great. And there is more room inside if needed without being bulky.I wish they had not discontinued this style!!!! November 4, 2012
Can't Believe this is gone! Of all my zillion Vera Bradley bags this one is my absolute favorite. It holds everything without looking too big..several pairs of glasses ,phone ,wallet, cosmetic case, keys, IPad, books and folders. A bottle of water in one outside pocket, and an umbrella in the other. I have it in 2 patterns , would buy more if I could..even these last few sale patterns seem to be sold out. PLEASE BRING THIS OUT OF RETIREMENT! This bag is by far my absolute favorite Vera Bradley. I use it all the time to carry GIANT textbooks and my laptop computer to different classes. The zipper is fabulous and helps to protect my EXPENSIVE textbooks / electronics while walking in the rain / snow. Hoping to buy another one soon, if I can find it before they have all sold out again. October 14, 2012
I agree with your other customers. This a a great bag with several pockets and a zipper compartment inside. It also has a zipper to close it. I bought the East/West Tote with magnetic closure. Not so happy going thru security at the airports. Like the zipper closure better. Please bring back the pleated tote. I did purchase two, but my daughter loved it also. The zipper closure really is a plus. Please rethink the termination of this great tote! Pat October 7, 2012
Why retire this bag?? Lots of room, pockets inside & out, full zip top & shoulder straps. The most perfect bag! Why are you getting rid of it?? You are leaving us with a villager with less inside pockets & totes with magnetic snaps. Your bags used to be worth the money. But now I am wondering! September 18, 2012

My All-Time Favorite Vera Bag!! I carried the Villager for years until I found the Pleated Tote. I am a large purse fanatic, have a six year old daughter, and am a full time student. This tote (my full time purse) carries everything I need plus some things for my daughter and serves as a school bag on days that I have only one class. I was so sad to see it retired, and hoped that the Campus Tote would serve as a nice upgrade to this style, but was even more disappointed to learn that it does not have a zipper closure. I realize it is futile to plead for this style's return, but do wish that future styles of totes that are to resemble the Pleated Tote would have a zipper closure ( and not a break-away zipper, because those are just frustrating and annoying at times). I have been trying to buy all of the colors of this tote that I can find either on sale on VB online, or in stores that carry retired styles, so that I can have a bag for every season in my favorite VB style.
