Sharp edges on inside of stays
I am a long time Vera Bradley customer and love your quality products. That's why I was surprised with the quality of this umbrella. Opening it is difficult to push up and get the mechanism to click into place. In the process of opening it the first time, my fingers slipped from the plastic handle and hit the insides of the metal stays. They are very sharp and I sliced my fingers in multiple places. I want others to be aware of this incase their umbrella is in the same condition. I love the print and size of the umbrella but am disappointed in the quality.

Umbrella is not a quality product
I received the cute print umbrella as a gift from my mother. I used it very little. Now that I live in South Florida I have an opportunity to use it more. After I opened it yesterday the mechanism refused to close. My husband had to jam it down (it took a long time) to close it so now I have a pretty, almost new umbrella that needs to go into the trash. So, no, I cannot recommend the VB umbrella.

BEST Umbrella Ever!
I had this umbrella in Nightingale for over two years! It withstood some crazy NYC rain and weather! The only reason I don't have it anymore is because I lost it and I am devastated. Getting a new one now!

I purchased this item at a Vera Bradley outlet near me. I bought it in Marina Paisley. This is a great pattern for the summer rain, and you won't look out of place carrying this item. I have another pattern, and it is really nice to use.
This umbrella isn't large, but you can squeeze two people under it. It is small enough that you could fit it into a purse, or if it is raining it won't be too heavy to carry.
It has a slight downside, which is whenever it is windy (very high winds) it can blow inside out. But it isn't an issue.
This is great for dog owners who need to take their dog out to the bathroom, an outdoor person, or someone who just needs to have an umbrella.
It is a stylish option for a plain black umbrella.

Good umbrella for mild weather
First couple of uses, difficult to open and close, I was actually going to get rid of it. I tried it again and decided to keep it - it was much easier to open and close after a few uses.
The small size fits nicely into many bags. It's also good as an extra umbrella to keep in the car.
Not good in wind. Best for light rain showers. I'd give it a 3.5 score overall but had to pick between 3 and 4 and it's slightly closer to a 4.

If you need a decent umbrella this is the one to get. A nice, cute, VERA BRADLEY (of course!) This umbrella comes in handy and the best thing is that it comes in a PERFECT size and so you can fit it in your purse, or do what I do and put it in the side of my backpack (Vera Bradley of course) so when I walk with my friends to the Elementary next to mine school and it is raining you can easily pull it out and not get wet!!!!!!

I feel like I strut around in style with this one! I got this in midnight blues and the colors are just so beautiful! only thing is, it did flip up on me when it was pretty windy but when I flipped it back, it wasn't broken! when I had my other umbrellas, they broke quickly so I really love using this umbrella!

I purchased this umbrella in Priscilla pink. And the auto feature is great! Because other umbrellas pinch your fingers when you try to put it up. But sometimes the umbrella blew inside out. But,other than that I recommend this product. I hope this is helpful information:)

Broke after second use
I used this umbrella twice. The next time I tried to open it ,it would not open. The auto open/close refused to work. It was jammed and would not open. I wrote to your company about this problem and received no response. I'm really disappointed that you don't stand behind your products enough to even warrant a reply.

I Really Wanted To Like It!
I agree with the other reveiwer... beautiful, but too flimsy. I used it for the first time a day ago while it was sprinkling and a rather weak gust of wind almost turned it inside out.
