Love the bag...hate the tablet pocket
I bought this bag as I recently started a new job that requires me to carry a tablet around and I wanted easy access to it without having to unzip a bag. I was very bummed to find out that the tablet pocket does not even hold my iPad with a VERA case on it. You would think it would be designed to at least fit her cases, with that I know my work iPad won't fit, because it has a keyboard. I am currently torn on returning it or not. I may just have to repurpose that pocket as a place to toss my phone keys and wallet because the bag itself is AWESOME minus that flaw :(

This is a great work bag! Love the pockets on the outside that I can put my water bottle, etc. Plenty of space inside (and more pockets) for all my work stuff, including my lunch box. My ipad has an otterbox case on it and fits tightly in the tablet pocket. My only "needs improvement" would be that the tablet pocket could be a bit larger. Who doesn't have a case or keyboard with their tablets? Otherwise, LOVE this bag and would highly recommend!

Perfect for use every day!
I work two part time jobs and go to school and I use this bag every day! I carry a binder, a text book for class, laptop charger, cosmetics, umbrella, water, and various other items. I can fit my laptop in it but then I can't zip it. It's comfortable on my shoulder and doesn't feel too heavy (depending on what I'm carrying). This bag is perfect for my busy life!

Great bag for work and school!
This bag is a great size for textbooks, notebooks, and a computer! It's not too big like some other VB bags. Perfect bag for a student on the go!

I have been searching for a tote for months that will eliminate me carrying more than 2 bags on my daily commute and this is the one. I got this bag in Canterbury cobalt and I love this bag. I can now carry my Tervis water bottle in the outside and my iPad mini in a case in the tablet pocket and it does not compromise the inside of my bag like my miller bag and get carried away tote. (When using those, when you store something in the inside pockets it minimizes the inside of the bag.) On the inside, I can store my important documents, a few magazines, my pencil bag, my lunch bag and in the side pockets and zipper pocket I can carry my pens, some gum and a few snack bars. THANK YOU for this bag Vera Bradley!!!!!!!!

Great Bag for Work
I recently started a new job & needed a bag to carry a variety of items. After a lot of looking around at VB attaches/messenger bags, I decided on this one. Although I don't have an iPad, I do carry my MacBook Air every day. It fits in the main compartment, vertically, & I can still easily close the zipper. My VB Lunch Bunch (well, it's actually my daughter's, but it works better for my lunches than hers) also fits in the main compartment, & there's still plenty of room for random items like earmuffs, sunglasses, etc. One of the slip pockets is great for my iPod & earbuds & the other I keep a granola bar in. The zipped pocket is good for personal items. The iPad pocket on the front is where I keep my wireless mouse & charger cords (& there's plenty of room for more stuff), & the end pockets are great for water bottles, coffee/tea, etc. I'd give this 4-1/2 stars if the option was there only because the straps are just a tad short to easily put it up on my shoulder w/a winter coat on, but it's not enough of a problem to reduce the rating to four stars only. I can easily see using this as a carryon for a plane trip; I've already used it for a car trip & it works great to corral an atlas, CDs, & snacks as well as all the usual stuff (except the Lunch Bunch). I may get a second in a summery color (I have Blue Bayou)...

Really wanted to love this tote.
OH, how I wanted this tote to work out! I love everything about it, except the tablet pocket is not the same size as the tablet pocket in the tablet hipster. I was so disappointed. I ended up returning it and purchasing a backpack that has worked out wonderfully. I would think that a tablet pocket size would be a uniform measurement from hipster to tote, but apparently not. I have a Nook HD+ with a cover, which is a larger size e-reader and use my tablet hipster for quick trips out of the house, but really wanted a tablet tote for when I want to haul a bit more.

Love this Tote!!
The only thing that could make this tote better is if they would put the "Vera Tote" straps on this one, other than that it's perfect!! I have it in Jazzy Blooms and just ordered Citron. Clementine will most likely be next!! Fun Fun and very useful bag!!

Cute but deceiving
I got this bag in Heather for my birthday. I will admit, it's adorable. It has enough room for my binder my books (I am a high school student) water bottle, and I have even managed to shove my VB lunch box in there sometimes. It fits everything EXEPT my iPad. I have the 2nd generation with a keyboard case, because let's face it just about everyone that has an iPad has some sort of case. It only fits without the case which is very annoying. They really should have made it with a bigger slot for the iPad, but it's cute otherwise.

Great work tote!
I originally ordered the Bucket tote because I wanted a new bag for work. I LOVE the Vera, but it's a little too big. I love the Tote, but wanted an outside pocket/pockets. I was disappointed when the Bucket Tote arrived because it was much smaller than I thought. The dimensions were very similar to the Tote but the Bucket Tote is definitely more of a purse. I needed something for my 13" macbook air to fit in so I exchanged it (at a Hallmark store--so glad they made the exchange!) and opted to get the Tablet Tote. I love it. The front pocket is made for a tablet, but I typically carry my mac, so I slid my agenda and a small notepad into the front pocket. The side pockets are perfect for a water bottle on one side and your keys on the other side. There's an inside zipper pocket (I use for feminine items I don't want thrown loose in my bag), 2 slip pockets (cell phone or pack of gum size-- that's what I have in them), and 3 pen/pencil slots. I have my 13" macbook air (in a neoprene Incase sleeve), a spiral notebook, a couple folders, coin purse, and still have a little room to small.
I wish the quality of the straps was a little better. It's got fairly thin material on the straps and I prefer the thick quilted straps like the Vera.
I would definitely recommend as a work or school bag if you want something with just enough room for what you need and a little extra on days you might have an umbrella, cosmetic bag, or other small accessories.
