great bag, buying another one!
I bought this bag in ribbons, in nov 2012... I love it! As a matter of fact, im going to buy another one. This is such a great bag, long straps, hold about 6 diapers( size 3 )in the front...the changing pad comes off easily for washing. I love all the pockets and it can hold anything. The only downfall is the zippers in the front come half way unzipped, but other than that..I love it. Like I said, im buying another in a different pattern.

Large diaper bag, functional design
My baby is six-months old and I found I needed a larger diaper bag than the one I'd been using in the newborn stage (a cross-body/backpack style not by Vera Bradley). I wanted to be able to carry a few toys and a baby carrier in addition to the basics. I was attracted to the size and organizational features of this bag.
Fold-out changing pad - This works well, even on wall-hanging public changing tables. In that setting, I put the bag on my left, and fold out the attached mat, lay baby's head close to the bag (not technically on the changing mat but on the bag flap) and the mat covers nearly the whole changing surface. What I'd change - I need a changing pad with a wipeable surface; this one is terry cloth on top. My little guy is a mess and I had to wash the detachable mat twice in the first week of use. I bought a pretty piece of oil cloth, cut it to the right size, and keep it folded in the flap with the VB changing pad. I lay the oil cloth between my baby and the pad so I don't have to constantly wash the pad and can just wipe the oil cloth with a disinfecting wipe when needed. I don't really use the small pockets under the changing pad flap. Putting anything bulky in them would make the changing pad stick out too much in my opinion.
Interior pockets - These are not roomy pockets but good for organizing small things. The center pockets on each side are just big enough to hold my Huggies portable wipes case in one and a couple of disposable size 2 diapers in the other. In the other interior pockets I have a small travel diaper cream, a couple of disposable breast pads, my checkbook, and an extra bib. I use cloth diapers and can carry plenty of these in the main interior compartment and still have room for my wet bag, a bag of small toys, a change of clothes, and an extra item like baby carrier (folded and laid on top in the bag), small blanket folded, etc.
Exterior zip pocket - This is great. It's roomy enough to carry my wallet, a VB coin purse, another coin purse, my phone, and mints. Very functional.
Exterior side pockets - I like how deep these are. I use them to carry my water bottles and usually stick a burp cloth, small toy, and hand sanitizer in one so they're easy to grab.
Proportions - I'm 5'6" and the strap length and overall size of this bag works well for me. It's a larger bag, but that is why I chose it. It's not too heavy but I wouldn't want to carry it all day on a walking trip fully loaded. I think it will potentially make a nice carry-on bag when I no longer need a diaper bag. Feet on the bottom would also improve this bag.

AMAZING BABY BAG
This bag is so smart and functional and not to mention SPACIOUS! I had the original baby bag also in 2008. I loved it as well, but am very excited about all the upgrades the Make a Change Baby Bag has. First of all, the roll out change pad is genius. It makes changing so fast, all I need to do is grab my bag, unzip and my changing station is at my finger tips. When you roll it out, it has 2 big pockets for wipes, diapers and ointments. An added bonus is that the changing pad snaps off for washing! Also, there is a very roomy side zip pocket on the other side which I put all my stuff in (wallet, keys, phone) and it doesn't affect the inside pockets - perfect! Inside the actual bag, the whole surface area is wipeable for easy cleaning and there are 6 pockets to keep everything neat and organized. I literally fit everything I need from feeding supplies, snacks, outfits, toys, blankets, first-aid and medicine, and more. The top zips to keep everything snug inside. I can not say enough good things about this bag. Wearing the bag, it is not bulky or too long. it hits comfortably right at my hip. This is a quality bag and you will not be disappointed. Bag is Perfect, Color not as shown
I love VB's diaper bag! I had the "original" with my first son (2010) and I love the improvements this one has with the roll out changing pad, especially that it is detachable. I love that you can wipe the inside of the bag with a paper towel or wet washcloth if something spills. Handle length is great, especially if you're wearing a bulky coat in winter. Love the magnetic closure on the changing pad as well. The ONLY issue is that the pattern "Tutti Frutti" that I ordered does not match the pretty light turquoise shown online. I feel like it is much more of a seafoam green instead and not as pretty. Otherwise, I love the actual bag itself!

Vera had it right with the original baby bag
I always wondered why in the world VB changed the style from the old original baby bag? It was the perfect size 16"L x 12 1/4"H x 6 1/4"W with a 13.5 in. shoulder drop. I'm thrilled to see this one comes very close but the shoulder straps seem kind of long. I still love the VB diaper bag for its softness, comfort and ability to fit everything I need!

Can't wash it!
Pros
1. Really great size (I'm a pack rat!) and tons of pockets
2. Fully lined with an attached changing pad
3. Nice long straps
4. Gorgeous Vera Bradley colors and quality
Cons
1. No pockets are big enough for diapers larger than size 3. My 8 month old is in size 5's (that's right folks- she's a big 'un), so I'm having difficulty putting diapers in my diaper bag! They've somewhat solved this problem by putting a nice big zipper pocket on the outside, but you're more limited in how many diapers you can carry.
2. IT'S NOT WASHABLE!!!! What???? Spot clean only. Seriously? It's a diaper bag!!! And not a cheap one. A bottle of apple cider vinegar exploded on mine... and I can't wash it? Good grief.

Great looking bag, doesn't hold up
I was so excited about this diaper bag and it's design, but after 6 months of daily use I am disappointed that my bag is fraying. There is a plastic support piece sown into the bottom base of the bag and the edges are so sharp that they are poking through the thin fabric that covers it. I'm worried that with continued use the whole bottom seam will rip.
My previous diaper bag lasted through 2 years of daily use and I'm so sad that this bag is showing so much wear after only 6 months of carrying baby essentials.

Most perfect all-around tote bag EVER!
Hubby and I travel a few times every month in our SUV. I use a Saddle Up for my handbag because I like to shop/sightsee hands free. But I also like to take with me in the vehicle all the things I might reach for at home during the day plus other things that may make our trip more pleasureable but that I don't want to carry around in my handbag all day - OTC allergy/ headache/ antacid/ eyedrops/ etc. meds, folding umbrella, treats for our beagle, foldable shopping tote bag, hand wipes, sanitizer, ballet slippers for in the SUV, hand lotion, mints, extra cosmetics, tablet of paper, pens, you get the idea/ etc. - all in regular sizes rather than the itty bitty travel sizes. I used to use a Get Carried Away, which I also dearly love, but since it is 15" tall, I had to sort of fold it over to make it fit under the dashboard. I needed a shorter, well-organized bag and when I saw that this one is only 12" tall, I knew I had to give it a try, even though our 'baby' is 33 years old. This bag is perfect and I absolutely love it! The size is just right and all my things are nicely organized in the interior pockets. The two pockets inside the fold-down flap hold all of our electronics charger cables and the flap itself becomes a nice soft spot for our cell phones and cameras when they're charging. We use the washable changing pad as a feeding area for our beagle girl. The two end pockets hold my travel water bottle and coffee mug perfectly. Plus, I love the retro shape of the bag. But be advised... the stated dimensions are incorrect! The depth - across the bottom - is 6 inches, NOT 7 1/2". I rather wish it was 7 1/2" as stated but I can't imagine anyone not being completely thrilled with this darling bag. As always with any VB product, the quality is top-notch. As soon as my 89-year-old mom saw it, she said she wants one for her sewing club things. Make A Change Baby Bag might just be the most perfect all-around tote bag ever! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

Great Baby Bag!!
My sister is about to have her first baby so I decided to purchase this new baby bag for her. She LOVED it!!! I knew she did not like the previous VB baby bag, but she was so excited to receive this one. I have four children and been through every type of baby bag out there and if I were to have another child, this is the bag I would get. The best part of the bag is the exterior roll-out detachable changing pad. No longer is the changing pad taking up space inside the bag!! This bag has so much room with a lot of pockets without being too bulky and hard to manage.......but still looks stylish. Great bag for my sister and beautiful baby niece.
