Perfect for I Pad
I got this as a Mothers Day gift..I wanted a second bag, but when I saw this one fell in love with it...the best part it that I can fit my I Pad in it....

CAREFUL--Doesn't Fit iPad like photo suggests!!
I LOVE this small PURSE backpack, but it DOES NOT fit a apple iPAD as the photo suggests-----or MAYBE thats why the show it w the FLAP UP? The flap doesn't close down, for magnet to connect if iPad inside.
Other than that (one of the reasons Why I purchased it), its REALLY a nice small purse type travel backpack. I wanted something that could be on my back instead of a purse while we do lite travels and day trips. This will serve that purpose. I had liked the fact I could throw my iPad into it, to take w me (and I DON'T have a cover on mine, so its not that reason, its just 1-2" too big to close the flap. (maybe thats why flap not folded?)
Anyway, the Navy pattern is pretty, Ill keep it anyway, -----too much hassle to return, but just wanted to warn others!

Check with a friend is the best bet
My friend Dana has one of these bags in va va bloom and I asked her if I could see it and she let me check it out all the different compartments and stuff and how it felt on my back and when I would probably reach my space limit I loved it loved it! I just ordered mine today and am so excited to use it I think the fabric journal and my kindle fire HD well fit perfectly into its many pouches like the front pouch makes great place for my kindle and the back zipper for my private journal. Anybody who loves vera Bradley products well surely love this backpack. GOOD LUCK.

Great for Being out and about
Like the title says it is great for those who are out and about but don’t want a purse on their shoulder and need more than just a wristlet. It is too small for a school bag. My books notebook, and binders did not fit. However it was just right for a day at the park, zoo, walking around DC, a national park and best of all carry on for a train or airplane. I live a very active life and this LITTLE book bag goes safely (with adorable Vera style) where the traditional purse fails.
I gave it 5 stars because it is great for what it is, a backpack purse in my opinion. I can fit a Vera wallet, a water bottle, Vera sunglasses case, book, cosmetic bag (always have to look nice right ladies?) and a few other small items inside. The outside side pocket is too small for a water bottle I would suggest in the future they change that to fit one. So I put chapstick in there. The inside pockets are great to hold my phone and whatever else. I personally don’t have an Ipad so I use that to hold pamphlets, ticket, brochures for quick access, or my journal.
When you get this dont be stunned by the size it is small. However, if you don't plan on using it for school, or packing the kitchen sink then this product will work great for you!

Good backpack to use as a purse
I ride my bike to work so needed a backpack big enough to hold some essentials such as my iPad. The backpack works great and has plenty of room. Unfortunately after less than four months of use, one of the straps has become frayed. I am concerned that the stitching will fail. The rest of the backpack seems to be sturdy enough.

Great non bulky backpack
Love the backpack in the vibrant Midnight Blues. I am an older lady who feels young. I wear it over one shoulder and it is completely out of the way while shopping and lightweight. I like that I can use the handle also. Please consider an animal motif in an upcoming line. Love Vera Bradley!
