Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Size but Tippy I'm an efficient packer and this bag is perfect for me to use for a weekend up to a week if no formal event attire is required. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be exchanging this bag for the 22" four wheeled design. This bag may be called "upright" but it tips over consistently...a big frustration. June 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Classy Travel Carry On Bag This bag is classic and classy looking yet perfectly functional as a carry on bag. Holds plenty and the extra pockets and expandable sections make it user friendly. The wheels roll smooth and easy and the pull up bar to push/pull your bag is solid! Regarding the comment below about it being 20" and not a true 22" inch leads me to a great point of advice. I have traveled enough to know that with all the tightening airline restrictions, they consider the total measurements as every part of the bag (yes, those wheels that make our lives easier unfortunately take up space and are counted toward the maximum number of inches allowed for a carry on bag)! So actually, thanks vera bradley for already recognizing that. I have seen people get turned away and have to check their luggage that they thought was going to be a carry on due to (yep you guessed it) the wheels not being counted toward the allotted inches. Same goes for having too many expanded pockets that may put your bags over the limit as well. Granted, just as airlines may vary, remember that the airline workers may also vary on what they might slide on any given day. My thoughts are this though; usually I'm carrying on certain things for a reason. I would be very upset if suddenly last minute I had to check a bag that I thought was going to be carried on due to some minor mistake of not realizing those wheels DO count in the inches that are allotted. With my luck that would end up being the bag that randomly gets lost and has my computer, chargers, jewelry, make up, hair styling tools, toiletries.... Ugh and then my much anticipated holiday is now starting on a very sour note! So, to sum it up. Think ahead and pay attention to total dimensions. This bag is absolutely within the guidelines for domestic and international (if starting in the US or ending in the US). If traveling starts and ends in International locations the requirements are actually even smaller. I have purchased other coordinating pieces to this bag and I totally love them all. Suits my sense of style taste and is functional and sturdy. Has held up extremely well with many traveling excursions. I highly recommend. Hope this was helpful! November 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by NOT 22" Unless they included the wheels and handle, this bag only measures 20" of usable packing space. It is only about 7 1/2" deep and doesn't reach the 9" until you use the expansion. It is a rather small carryon. If you are looking for a true 22" then choose another. June 20, 2013
