Wonderful grab and go and excellent for nights out
I liked this style as soon as I saw it in the fall catalog. I was determined to get the flap id in expresso, since I have many other Vera pieces in the expresso microfiber. As soon as I saw this in person, I fell in love with the wine color. The wine color is much prettier in person - the website does not do it justice. The wine color is a deep, rich burgundy, a very versatile color for the fall. All of the Vera Vera colors are beautiful in person and rich in the detailed flower stitching.
The flap id is a nice style, with plenty of room in the main flap compartment for cards or cash, or even a large Android phone (mine fits even with its silicone cover on). The large main compartment impressed me because most Vera pieces I as well as my friends struggle to put their larger smartphones into, but not with the flap id. You can also fit a camera in the flap id as well, which is nice, making this a very versatile and functional piece. I like the little id pocket on the backside of the piece, and there is an additional little pocket for cards or whatever behind where the id sits. The key clip is also convenient, whether you clip keys to it, or you clip the whole flap id to a larger bag. The only recommendation for the flap id would be to have a removable wrist strap.
I will probably buy a second flap id in black or expresso! I was thinking of using the removable wrist strap from the double id wristlet on the flap id, sorta making my own customized Vera piece. Overall, this is probably one of my favorite Vera accessories!
