Roomy, Tons of Pockets, Amazing Quality
I purchased this tote bag in black (so that it matches my everyday outfits etc) to carry all of my business essentials that I use daily: iPad, MacbookPro, Filofax Planner, Pens (in my Vera Bradley Mini Pen Holder), iPad Charger, MacbookPro Charger & a folder. I am so very happy with this tote bag and love how large and roomy it is. I absolutely love all of the pockets that are in this tote where you can put many items needed. I use this bag everyday and its gorgeous and very useful. I love the pattern on this tote bag and the black is so classy looking. It's a very durable bag as well. To go with this tote bag, I also purchased the computer sleeve and iPad sleeve and cover in the "Go Wild" (since there was not a black color option like the tote bag) pattern which match the inside of the tote bag. I also purchased a pen and pencil set to match my tote bag to go with my daily Filofax planner. I'm new to Vera Bradley and am very happy I came across this classy black tote bag, I will be purchasing the rolling briefcase in black very soon. My birthday is in April so I'm hoping the hubby will maybe spoil me with that briefcase ;). I hope this review helped. I love Vera Bradley!

FINALLY IN BLACK !! THANK YOU!!!
I love this tote and use it every day. I carry an ipad in a clamcase, wallet, water bottle, book, notebook, my son's medications, small cosmetic, earbuds, reusable shopping bag, phone, glasses, lotion, gloves, 2 hats, scarf - and often have at least one thing for my teenagers/husband. This bag allows me to be organized with six pockets but is so versatile with it's large compartment, and it's always standing so I can toss stuff in it all day long and grab it when I go. I live in the NW so rain can be a factor, but I waterproof spray them, toggle the top and carry it tight under my arm when it's pouring (but I don't walk for a commute, then it wouldn't work). By the way, please bring back the envelope wallet - it was the perfect companion piece - wristlet that was organize but not stiff so I could put a lot in it but leave the tote in the car.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!
I really love this bag! It is a large tote but perfect for me. These days I rarely go anywhere without my iPad and so it's perfect for that and carrying tons of other stuff. It's very well made so I can even get a textbook in it as well as my personal items. The long and slender shoulder straps feel so comfy and the bag feels just so proportionate and never heavy on my shoulder! I definitely recommend this bag!
This was a great purchase choice by my hubby who bought this for me as a birthday gift!

gorgeous, functional tote
The Vera tote is my all-time favorite VB style, and I have waited for years for it to be offered in black microfiber. It is beautiful, and the quality is superb. The dimensions are the same as the signature cotton Vera, and it has most of the same features, including the key fob inside the front slip pocket, the back zipper pocket, and the six roomy interior pockets. There are a few differences though. First, the microfiber is a bit heavier than the signature cotton (but still much lighter than leather or PVC would be). Second, the straps are not quilted. Personally, I love the quilted straps, but this is not a deal breaker for me. Also, the microfiber is not machine washable, so it must be spot cleaned--not a big issue if you treat your bags with care. Overall, a lovely bag, and I hope it will be eventually offered in other solid colors like brown and navy.
