Sling Tennis Backpack
I love this backpack! It has a lot more space than what it looks like. I can fit a sweatshirt, a can of balls, sunglasses, a pair of shoes, and a bottle of water, Plus my tennis racquet. I highly recommend this bag to anyone that play tennis and needs a bag with a little room.

I got this over the summer in tutti frutti. One of my best VB purchases ever! I play tennis a lot........ and this hasn't shown on wear and tear at all! Very nice!

Like it, but suggest a few features
I like the tennis sling; it is lightweight and great for one racquet and social matches, but is limited for travel or serious matches. If you do a new tennis sling, I suggest adding these features: Room enough for 2 large tennis racquets, a few inside pockets to hold items securely, and a larger drink pocket (this one barely holds a slender bottled water.) A great GWP offer idea: your name on the bag!! A friend of mine had her name embroidered on her bag...adds security and looks awesome!

I use this backpack as my "mommy Bag" It is great for my stuff... and I usually pack up a purse! Plus a few diapers, snacks, and almost everything you need for a toddler through a day! It is sooooooo easy to carry on a shoulder or cross body! I want more colors, perhaps some solids in this style it is a great hands free bag!

not for everyday
The shape of this is similar to the Healthy Back bags so I thought I'd give it a try. Definitely not the same design. I was hoping to use this as a tote carried like a sling (HB bag principle) but it doesn't work at all. It is large and does have pockets but just not what I thought it'd be. So back it goes...

Closest thing to a 'healthy back' bag I have seen!
Could you offer a sling bag without the tennis racket pocket?...hmmm...I might just try getting one and sewing up the hole for the handle...
You're ALMOST there....

Great but have some suggestions
This is a great bag, but will not fit 2 oversized head rackets. If you have a head size 115 inches you cannot fit 2 rackets. 100 inches 2 will fit.
I have 2 rackets one is 115 and 1 is 100 so they both fit snugly, without covers on your rackets.
Another thing i would love is a fence hook- love my bag but do not want it on the ground.
inside is great and has lots of room and pockets.
The carrying strap is well placed and does not slide off your shoulder like some bags.
The bag is really light unlike my old 6 racket bag!
I play 5-6 days a week so I have used the bag alot in the past month since i got it.

Excellent tennis bag
Just the right size for casual use. Organization is great. Outer compartment holds your racket. The big interior compartment will hold a jacket, cap, sunglasses, a couple of cans of tennis balls, small purse/wallet, and has mesh pockets that will fit money or credit cards, tissues, phone etc. It is bigger than it appears. The smaller zipped compartment on the outside is good for a phone and keys. The mesh pocket on the outside is perfect for a water bottle (my large size Camelback bottle just fits). The sling hangs right and is comfortable, and there is a carrying handle as well. This is new and I haven't put it to heavy use yet, but if it is the same quality as my other Vera bags I'm sure it will hold up well. I was happy to see it was made in a few previous patterns and I bought it in Plum Crazy because I think it won't show dirt as much as the patterns with a lot of white in them.

Dream Come True
I have been waiting for this to come out for months and when I finally saw it I almost cried. This bag combines the two loves of my life... Vera Bradley and tennis. This made my whole life and I will probably purchase more than one!!!!!!

I plan to use this for more than just tennis
I purchased this bag in the ribbons pattern (bright pink on the inside - no reverse pattern). It's a really great bag. It hugs my back perfectly. I love the Sun Valley (orange lining inside) and Marina Paisley (blue lining on the inside) colors but I went with Ribbons because it had the least amount of white to it. My concern is keeping this bag looking as clean as possible (for as long as possible) since I will probably be leaving it on benches and possibly the ground at various tennis courts. I really really wish this came in Midnight Blues or Jazzy Blooms but Ribbons will do. It has three separate zipper openings: one small pocket in the front for keys and maybe a small wallet; one in the middle to put your tennis racket in, I believe there was also a long diagonal slip pocket in there, I wasn't sure for what, maybe tennis balls (I didn't test it out); and one to use as a back pack. This last opening also has a mesh pocket of ample size that runs along the lower back side of the pack (to hold snacks or tennis balls or anything you want somewhat secure) and there are also two slip pockets in there as well on the opposite side of the mesh pockets (medium wallet sized, you can slip your whole hand inside). This back pack is surprising large/has ample room for many items. I can fit a change of clothes inside/light sweatshirt and a snack and maybe a few other things. Oh, there's also a mesh water bottle pocket on the outside.
I like the design so much that I'm considering using this as an everyday bag. If Vera Bradley would make a slightly smaller version, offered in a larger range of colors, I would absolutely purchase it. I love the one strap design, it feels very secure and doesn't move out of place. It would be a great city back pack. Just throwing some ideas out there!
