Perfect Size for the Essentials
First things first, I am not a large bag person. Prior to purchasing this hipster, I had only been using a wristlet. However, I found that my Vera Bradley wristlet was unable to carry all the essentials. I came to the conclusion that I needed to look for another bag. I personally do not like carrying purses, so I was instantly drawn to this cross-body design. I believe this bag is beautiful, as well as functional. It is able to hold everything I need and then some. I am able to fit a Vera Bradley wristlet, my lanyard and keys, my zip ID, some pencils and pens, and a book with some space left over. In addition, the front pocket is perfect for holding my iPhone 5S. I love how many pockets there are on this bag and it helps to keep everything organized. If you are looking for a small bag to carry your essentials then this is the bag for you.

I bought this bag in the Go Wild pattern. The black and yellow color wave is so versatile. I don't like big purses, so this is a perfect size. I carry two check books, the small Vera cosmetic (in the matching Go Wild, of course), a very slim wallet, and a few other small odds and ends. The outside zipper pocket (or inside) is great for the Samsung Galaxy Phone with an Otter Box and also for keys. I don't use the push-lock closure pocket because I find that time-consuming to fasten. I think zipper pockets are more secure. The front push-lock pocket would hold several slim items. I love that I can use it cross-body for hands-free shopping or as a shoulder bag!

If you like small purses, this is a great choice..
I've never wanted to carry everything I own around w/me, but I'm not such a minimalist that a wallet on a cross-body strap would work for me. The Saddle Hipster is pretty close to being the perfect size for what I want w/me. The front pocket holds my keys & iPhone w/room to spare, & I don't have any problem opening the push-lock w/one hand. The back zippered pocket holds my wallet safely next to me. The main compartment is where I'd suggest an improvement…an extra half-inch of width. I have a purse organizer that I move from VB bag to VB bag that holds a mirror, comb, facial blotting tissues, a small bottle of hairspray, hand lotion, a small pill bottle for ibuprofen, a nail file & scissors, my Swiss Army knife, a packet of pix, some business cards, a pair of reading glasses, a pen, & a few random things. In other VB purses the organizer also holds a nail care block (different sides smooth nails differently), a compact w/powder, & a small packet of tissues, but those three things had to come out to make it fit in the Saddle Hipster, as well as a little notebook. The slip pockets in the Saddle Hipster hold a lipstick, lip balm, mints, & some packets of sweetener. There's still room for my sunglasses in their case on top of the purse organizer, so for the most part I'm extremely happy w/the Saddle Hipster & would buy it again if it's made in another print I liked.

Great go to bag! but snug =)
great for errands, lip balm, phone, wallet, ear phones, gum and mascara (the little essential things) Its not a bag that will stretch out to fit more things, the zipper will open it self as your walking if its too crowded in there. I love it. There is no room for extras. Allows you to keep your purse clean and not be a portable horder, =) I have other Vera's for that. But this bag I use when going to work, runnig errands, lunch etc
I thought it would be more spacious and maybe with time the fabric will stretch out a little bit but its perfectly fine for me either way.

My Everyday Bag
This is my favorite VB bag for everyday use. I own way too many styles that just hang in my closet - not so for this one! I keep my wallet (Euro Wallet) in the back zipper. In the main compartment I keep my mirror cosmetic case, feminine products in a coin purse, manicure set, and tech case (holds chargers and accessories). In the little slip pockets I hold my inhaler, tissues, a pack of gum, a pen, a pencil, and a stylus. My iPad mini fits in the front flap pocket. When not in use, I toss my iPhone (in otter box) in the back zipper with my wallet. There is still room for more! I absolutely love this bag!

Great bag but...
I recently bought this in Lola. This bag is amzing, but it is a little bit too flat. The main compatment fits an iPad mini in a neoprene sleeve nicely, but I took the purse to the movies and the mini water bottle did not fit in the bag well. The small slip pockets on the inside are good for earbuds and my mini stylus. The front pocket is perfect for holding my iPhione 4S. I don't understand why people complain that the front pocket is hard to open with one hand. The back compartment holds my wallet, keys, and tech case quite well!

Perfect size for me
I have always been a fan of Frannie as I tend to be a minimalist. I had the need for something a bit larger so I tried Clare. I love the Clare style but it was just too large for the amount of things I carry. Then I discovered the Saddle Hipster. I use a Smartphone Wristlet as the wallet in case I want to ditch the bag and go super light, yet it fits nicely inside. I can also carry a Zip ID to contain small objects instead of letting them jangle around. This purse also holds the Travel Pill Case easily, my sunglasses, my reading glasses (ug!) a comb, a pen, earbuds, chapstick and keys. The back zip pouch is perfect for filing those shopping receipts until I return home. The front compartment is a nice size for the larger phone I prefer to carry, even in it's case (when said phone is not in the Smartphone Wristlet!) All this with room to spare. I especially love the fact it is a crossbody, but I have been know to use it as a shoulder bag too. Versatility perfection!

simple, practical and stylish!
I have it in Blue Bayou, Canterberry Magenta, Canterberry Cobalt and I just love them all. I wish it came in Petal Paisley as well. I put in my wallet, iphone, keys, coin purse, sunglasses and it still has lots of room to spare. It's perfect for my nook or even if I want to take a few diapers and a small case of wipes for a short trip to the park or store.

This bag is small. It doesn't hold much and when you do put your things in it the bag bulges badly. The design also looks too plain. It's missing something and I don't know what. It almost looks like a prototype that snuck out to be released.

My New "Go To" Bag!
This has bumped the Mailbag as my favorite VB! After extensive neck and shoulder surgeries, I was looking for a cross body bag a little smaller than the Mailbag, yet could carry all my essentials. The front flap is perfect for my Kindle Paperwhite. The inside holds my phone, zip case for cash and cards, hair brush, EOS lip balm, tissue pack, and charging cords. The back zippered section holds a lanyard with my work keys and another key ring with my library cards, rewards cards, etc. I am sad to see that it's not being produced in the newest colors! Please, Vera Bradley, keep this gem in your lineup!
