Not just for Tablets! Love this classy bag.
I have this in cobalt blue as well as black. I can't say enough good things about it!
I love the east-west design and the classic look the most of all of its attributes.
It can be carried as a shoulder bag or a Crossbody which is great.
Yes, the iPad fits great and an ereader and cell phone as well as other items all at once. However, I don't use it that way often, but mostly use it as an everyday bag. It's a great size for daily use for a wallet, cell phone, glasses, hairbrush, keys, tissues etc.
Don't make the mistake of only looking at this for a tablet!

Just a smidge too small
It is a great bag! I got mine for work use, too, just like Practical Wisconsin. I love that it is so slim and carries so much. The file folder is an issue, but the dimensions are even closer than PW reported. It really needs only 1/4 inch more on both the width and the height to accommodate the folder. I can see why it is so frustrating to be so close, but I would encourage you to keep the bag at least until VB redesigns it to add that extra 1/4 inch! I ended up trimming my file folders 1/4 inch on both dimensions. You only lose a portion of the tab on the top, but the width is still an issue if you carry much at all in the bag. I keep my iPad inside the zippered compartment along with the charger, my business cards, etc. The only other suggestion I would add for VB is to put a pen holder pocket inside. Thanks, Vera, for a great bag!

Needs tweaking for professional use
My tablet hipster arrived yesterday. I bought this for professional use, including travel to meetings. The solid black color is very professional, and the multiple compartments will enable me to carry my iPad and charger as well as personal items in one bag. With a few minor--though significant to a user--tweaks, the bag could be SO much more useful. First, please make it just an inch wider and half-inch deeper to accommodate a file folder. As is, I still can't travel hands-free if I want to carry any paperwork to a meeting. It doesn't need to be thicker, as I don't need to carry an entire day's work in it, and the slim lines are part of its appeal, but for professional use, it really needs to be able to accommodate at least one folder holding a couple pages of paper! Also, please change out the strap to a nicer, thicker (more comfortable) strap that is attached on the ends of the bag (rather than the middle of one side). That would better distribute the weight when it hangs from the shoulder (and not slide off) or across the body. (Incidentally, its not a true cross-body for women size 14 or larger.) While you are at it, please make the strap removable, so the case could be hand-carried or laid on a table at the office or meeting. These are small changes that won't detract from the design in any way for those who already love it while making it eminently more versatile and useful for those who need these features. As it is, I'm debating returning it because it puts me in the position of needing to carry more than just it to meet all my needs. Thanks.

Love, love, love it!
I love my new Tablet Hipster! I saw some reviews for this in the colored style and almost didn't buy it, because some of the reviews said that there was not enough room. I don't know if the size of the solid black one is different, or not, but there is plenty of room in this bag! I have my regular size iPad in a two part, thick leather case, which fits easily in the zipper part. In the flap and back magnetic part, I still have room for: iPhone, small brush, pack of tissues, small manicure set, nail file, "Tide To Go", hand sanitizer, small "Post-It" pack, pen, small mirror, pill case, keys, tic tacs, consealer and lip gloss. I have taken to using this and not carrying a separate purse, since I can fit all of my essentials in, with no problem. All I can say is that if you are looking for a nice tablet case, with plenty of room, you won't be disappointed!

I bought the Black Tablet Hipster specifically to wear to a job interview in May. I got the job! I am a sort of consultant and interview frequently. I think this bag has a real future!

Not sure what to get but both look great
I am thinking about getting the tablet hipster or just the hipster. My question is would my iPad fit in the tablet hipster if I have the vb night and day iPad sleeve on it or would I have to go with out it....

Great travel bag!
This is a great travel bag for me, especially when flying. It holds my iPad with case, classic iPod, battery back-up, iPhone, and headphones. I keep tissues, gum, etc., in the outside pocket, and all are within handy reach when in a confined space on a plane. It is great for long car trips, too, for the same reasons!

Love this Bag!
I stumbled onto this bag when I was just browsing in a boutique shop. I immediately grabbed it before someone else did because I had to have it. It's the perfect bag for my ipad and plenty of other stuff. I love the "east-west" orientation of this bag, and the fact that I can adjust the strap to wear it crossbody or not. It's very comfortable to use and carry. I love that Vera bags are so lightweight. And of course the black classic fabric is my favorite. So glad to see that Vera Bradley continues to make more bags in this beautiful fabric. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I Love it!
My color bags are oh so fun, but Thank You for making the tablet hipster in BLACK. It is perfect for work where I need to have a more professional appearance. It seems small at first glance, but I love that it holds everything I could possibly need.

Holds much more than you would think
I can't say enough good things about the Tablet Hipster in Classic Black. I also have one in Go Wild, but beside the black version it's definitely the poor relation. All the Classic Black range are so well made, they're worth the extra $$ VB charge over the patterned bags.
The Tablet Hipster holds so much. I can fit a small cosmetic case (filled to brimming), hair brush, Zip Around Wallet, Pocket Zip ID and keys, readers, sunglasses in their case, pens, pocket tissues, coin purse bulging with coupons and loyalty cards, Pocket Papers, iPad Mini, and iPhone and there's still room for more.
As with all Vera Bradley products it's been very well thought out and designed. I love the slightly stiffer shoulder strap too. I know I read on a review for another style in this range, someone didn't like the stiffer shoulder strap, but for me that's one of the things that makes the bags feel sturdier, and easier to keep on my shoulder. I'll definitely be buying more from the black range in future.
