awesome!
I don't usually review products, but this is a superior laptop case! The hard structure keeps your machine fully protected and there is some (though small) room on the sides to put a notebook, files, charger, mouse, etc. I have a larger 17inch laptop and there is still a little room on the sides, so I bet you could even fit a very large laptop in it. If you are looking for something that is functional and pretty buy this, you will not be disappointed!

Sony viao 17'' fits like a dream
I was worried after reading reviews from others about their 17" laptops not fitting, but I have had no issues with getting my sony viao 17" in and zipped up. It is definitely heavy once the laptop is in the case, but what do you expect with a laptop case? Overall, I absolutely love this product and would recommend it to anybody.

Pretty bag but not for heavy duty use
I get compliments on the bag often. Problem is the strap broke after less than 6 months of use.

I Can Stop Looking...Excellent Carrier
I was so glad to read the review titled....Fits 17" HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx.
I have had this laptop for a year now and not been able to find a case. This laptop carrier fits perfectly and I was so happy. I ordered the pattern Doodle Daisy and it surpasses all my expectations. Thank you Vera Bradley for making all your products a quality that will last. A+++++++

Accessory pocket too tight
The bag is beautiful and fits my 15" MacBook Pro.
However, the front pocket is so tight, you can fit your mouse and power cord in, but it's hard to insert. Getting them out of the bottom is not comfortable, it's hard to get the items back out in your hand - with the combined depth of your item IN your hand, your can barely get out, especially the power cord.
Took it on vacation recently and had to put my extra hard drives in my carry on, there just wasn't enough room to squish them in.
This would be a perfect bag if the accessory pocket was a bit more flexible. :(

Fits 17" HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx
I have had such a hard time finding a cover for my laptop. I don't need it often because it's so big. Finally, I've found one that fits. This sleeve is perfect with room to spare. I was worried that the zipper would be scraping the chassis of the computer when closing but it's fine. I can even leave in my wireless mouse receiver with room to spare.

Not for techies
My parents bought this for me to go with my new laptop when I started grad school, and I was very excited to have something stylish to carry my laptop in. Sadly, this excitement died when I got it home and tried putting my laptop in the case. I have a 17" HP Pavilion with an extended battery, and I had to take the battery out to even get the thing to close. When I did manage to zipper the thing shut, the seams were bulging. I turned to the front pocket, and could not fit my charger, the battery, and a mouse in there, let alone any extras that I would need.
If you have a 16" or smaller laptop and don't need to carry any accessories other than a flash drive with you, this would probably be a great case. If you're like me and do some serious on-the-road computing, do yourself a favor and buy a different case.

Awesome bag - fits a Dell Inspiron 17"beautifully!
I read and read reviews for this bag and was a bit concerned if it would fit my 17" but it fits my new Dell Inspiron 17" with a switch lid perfectly- so for all you out there with this laptop - no worries it fits perfectly!!!! I have it in Plum Crazy - love it so much - the pockets are perfect for cords etc. and it makes it so easy to manage one of these heavier laptops - Love it!

Love It!!!!
I bought this in the Rosy Posies pattern, and I love it!! I just bought a Asus 17in slim line laptop 2 weeks ago and I just received my laptop portfolio. The only thing is its really snug and I had to really stretch the zipper to fit. But after a few days of having it finally stretched out.
