Emails About Your Order

To ensure that our emails are delivered promptly to your inbox, please add “noreply@verabradley.com” to your contacts or safe senders list.

You will receive one or more of the following emails after your order is placed:

  • Order Confirmation
    This email confirms that we have received your order and provides you with an order number, shipping and billing information, and an order summary. Please keep this email for your records.
  • Shipment Confirmation
    This email confirms that your order has shipped. The arrival time of your order depends on the shipping method selected during Checkout, as well as your shipping location. Your credit card will be charged for the order amount once your items have shipped.
  • Return Notification
    This email confirms that verabradley.com received your return and credited your original form of payment.

Order Cancellations

Once an order is placed, Vera Bradley begins processing the request very quickly; however, it is possible to cancel an order during the processing period. Please note, once the order moves into the shipping process, it cannot be cancelled.

To cancel your order:
Visit verabradley.com and select "Account". Choose "Order Status" and enter your order number and billing zip code.

If the order status is "Pending," you will see an option to "Cancel your order." (Note: If your order does not have an option to cancel, we are unable to stop the shipment from being delivered.)

After you complete and submit your Cancellation Request, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been cancelled. Any pending charges will be refunded to you within 3-5 business days.

If you would like to make changes to the order or change the shipping address, you will need to cancel the order and place a new order.

If your order has already processed or shipped, you may return items by following the Return Instructions once you receive the delivery. Returns may be made to our online store or at your nearest Vera Bradley retailer (find your nearest Vera Bradley retailer). Learn more about Returns »

Items may occasionally be cancelled by our system if there was an issue with the order or in low-stock situations. If an item is cancelled, you will receive an email notice that will explain the reason for the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items.

Shipping Methods & Costs

Ground (SmartPost)

  1. Your order is processed at the Vera Bradley Distribution Center near Fort Wayne, Indiana.
  2. Your order will ship from the Distribution Center via FedEx.
  3. FedEx will deliver your order to your local U.S. Post Office.
  4. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver your order to your shipping address.

Ground (Home Delivery)

  1. Your order is processed at the Vera Bradley Distribution Center near Fort Wayne, Indiana.
  2. Your order will ship from the Distribution Center via FedEx.
  3. FedEx will deliver your order to your shipping address.

Please refer to the shipping chart below for specific estimated shipping times. Orders placed to APO or FPO military addresses will be delivered United States Postal Service (USPS) Standard.

You may also upgrade your shipping method for faster delivery (such as Next Day service) within the contiguous 48 states via FedEx. If you choose to upgrade your shipping method, your order will process and ship out of our Distribution Center the next business day.

Delivery Options

Orders selected for Ground (SmartPost) or Ground (Home Delivery) service will leave our Distribution Center within 2 days after the order is placed. After the order leaves our Distribution Center, delivery times vary based on the shipping method selected during Checkout and your shipping address.

Shipping to Multiple Addresses

verabradley.com offers you the convenience of shipping items to more than one address on a single order. If you are shipping to multiple addresses, you will receive a confirmation email for each shipment. For example, if you choose to send to three different locations, you will receive three shipping confirmation emails. Your credit card will be charged for items on each individual shipment as they are shipped.

Shipping charges apply for each individual address. The shipping charge is based on the method chosen and the total of products being shipped to that specific location.

Shipping Policies

  • FedEx Ground (SmartPost) and FedEx Ground (Home Delivery) orders are delivered Tuesday through Saturday, excluding major holidays, within the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • FedEx Second Day Air and Next Day Air orders are delivered Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays, within the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Orders shipping to an APO/FPO military address may only be shipped via USPS Standard and cannot be expedited. Please allow 5-7 business days for the product to arrive at the U.S. military post office box. We cannot guarantee delivery times after the order is delivered to the military post office box.
  • All expedited orders require a correct street address in order for delivery to be made on time.
  • You will not incur any charges until the order has been shipped to you.

Returns

Policies

  • Returns must be prepaid and insured by the customer and shipped via the carrier of your choice.
  • All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and original receipt or packing slip.
  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • All products must be unused and undamaged to ensure a full credit. We will not accept CODs or third-party billing for returned merchandise. All COD packages will be refused.
  • We cannot be responsible for items that we do not receive.
  • In the event an item is damaged during shipment, please contact the carrier with your tracking number.
  • Original form of payment will be credited for your refund. If the item was a gift you will receive credit in the form of a Gift Certificate to be used on verabradley.com
  • Returns over $500 without a proof of purchase cannot be processed. Purchases for resale will not be accepted for returns, regardless of dollar amount.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with these policies

Online Returns

You may return your new or unused product within 60 days of purchase with the original Vera Bradley receipt or online packing slip. Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC). An EGC can be used on verabradley.com or in Vera Bradley retail stores. All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and the original receipt or packing slip. We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with this policy.

Store Returns

If your purchase is less than 60 days old, you may return your items with receipt to a Vera Bradley Store, or contact an authorized Vera Bradley retailer for return assistance. All Vera Bradley company-owned stores also accept returns for online orders. If you are returning your items to an authorized Vera Bradley retailer, please contact them first to inquire about returns (online or in store).

60 Day Limit on Returns with a Receipt:

  • If a new, unused item is returned within 60 days, you may receive a refund (either in-store credit or the original form of payment) for the amount that was paid
  • Present the original packing slip or proof of purchase to the store associate.
  • Please present a valid Driver’s License or Government issued ID when returning product.
  • Items without a receipt that are new and unworn may be returned for the lowest sold price for a merchandise credit.
  • Please allow 2-3 weeks for a credit to appear on your original form of payment, or a gift certificate to be issued.
  • If at any time you need assistance, please call Vera Bradley Customer Service at (888) 855-8372 during normal business hours.
  • Returns over $500 without a proof of purchase cannot be processed. Purchases for resale will not be accepted for returns, regardless of dollar amount.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with these policies.

Returning Personalized or Monogrammed Styles

New or unused personalized items may be returned within 60 days of purchase with original Vera Bradley receipt or online packing slip. Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate for use on verabradley.com, excluding the Personalization fee. Fees related to Personalization will not be refunded. All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and the original receipt or packing slip.

Damaged or Defective Items

In the event an item is defective upon receipt or has a manufacturing defect, please fill out a Return Form with defect or damage noted on the form. Items will be inspected and a determination made as to the cause of defect. In the event an item is damaged during shipment, please contact the carrier with your tracking number.

If a gift box is damaged in shipping, please call Customer Service at (888) 855-8372.

Exchanges

We do not process exchanges at this time; however, you may order a replacement item at any time by placing a new order. You may return your order for a refund.

Credit

Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC). An EGC can be used on verabradley.com or in Vera Bradley retail stores. In the event we do not have original proof of purchase, a credit in the form of an Electronic Gift Certificate will be issued for the lowest price sold. If for some reason the item is no longer available we will issue an Electronic Gift Certificate for your product for the amount listed below:

International Orders

Vera Bradley now ships orders internationally through our global e-commerce partner, Borderfree. Product prices are presented in the currency of your choice with all taxes, shipping costs and duties totaled at the time of your order. This partnership allows your order to be shipped by Borderfree, while customer service is handled by Vera Bradley's International Service Team.

Below is a summary of delivery promises for our international orders. You will be quoted a specific delivery promise at the time of Checkout that is based on your selected destination country and the shipping methods available for the items in your Shopping Bag.

In some cases, one or more items may not be available at the time of shipment. These items will not appear on your packing slip and will not be charged.

Please note that we are unable to ship a single order to multiple addresses; you may place a separate order for each international delivery address.

Shipping Costs

International shipping is calculated based on a number of factors, including the desired shipping speed, number of items you are purchasing, weight of the items, and destination country. International shipping will be calculated and guaranteed during the Borderfree global Checkout based on the items you are purchasing and your shipping destination.

Shipping Restricted Items

If, for some reason, there are any items that cannot be exported from the United States or imported into your destination country, Borderfree will notify you during the Checkout process.

Shipping to APO/FPO Military Addresses

Orders shipping to U.S. military addresses should go through our domestic Checkout, as they are not subject to the same costs and logistics flows as our other international orders. To do this, you should ship as if shipping to an address within the U.S.

Shipping to the United States

You are only able to ship to the United States from the United States site because you are required to have a United States billing address.

International Orders & Payment

Placing an International Order

Choose your shipping destination and currency from the "Choose Country" link in the upper left corner of this page. After you add items to your Shopping Bag and begin the Checkout process, your transaction will be finalized on the Borderfree International secure site. Your order total (including all taxes, duties and shipping charges) will be displayed.

Personalized Orders

Vera Bradley is unable to monogram or personalize items on international orders at this time.

Payment Options

Borderfree supports Visa, MasterCard and American Express, with additional payment options coming soon.

Your credit card will be billed by Borderfree at the time your package(s) leave the United States, and will appear on your credit card statement as "BF*VeraBradleyEcom".

Your billing address can be from any of the 100+ countries that Borderfree supports (including the United States); however you may only ship to one of the 15 countries on Vera Bradley's international list.

All international orders must have a ship-to destination outside of the United States. We are unable to process orders with an international billing address shipping to a United States address.

International orders are not eligible for certain promotions/offers including, without limitation, discounts taken at Checkout (such as offers requiring a promotion code or discounts) on sale items, free standard shipping, gifts with purchase, Buy One Get One, Buy One Get One at a discount, purchase of or payment using a Vera Bradley gift card (our gift card cannot be bought or redeemed internationally), and similar promotions or offers. Unless otherwise stated, international orders may generally be eligible for offers that are priced as marked including, without limitation, percentage off and items with a reduced price for a limited time, where the discount is shown on that item page prior to Checkout. Duties and Taxes

Duties (or customs tariffs) are set by the destination country customs authorities and are determined based on a combination of the country of origin (manufacturing) of the goods being purchased and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system adopted and used by the countries that Borderfree supports. Value Added Tax (VAT) rates are set by the destination country. You will be able to view the guaranteed total amount of applicable duty and tax/VAT for your order within the Borderfree global Checkout.

International Returns

Policies

Vera Bradley accepts returns of products within 90 days of receipt. To initiate a return, please email internationalcare@verabradley.com and include your original order number and item or items to be returned. You will receive instructions on how to initiate your return.

All international orders must receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from a Vera Bradley international service team member. Returns cannot be accepted at any of our retail stores. Returns will be credited by Borderfree in the original currency used for purchase and include duty, tax and tariffs. Shipping charges are not refundable.

The return process may take up to 15-20 business days for the credit to apply to the original form of payment.

Exchanges

At this time, we are unable to offer exchanges on international orders.

Returning a Gift Order

Please email internationalcare@verabradley.com for specific instructions on returning a gift item. The return amount will be credited back to original form of payment.

Order Cancellations

Our goal is to ship your order as quickly as possible; therefore, we are unable to make any changes to an order once it is placed.

Problems With Your Order

Redeeming an Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC)

You will be prompted to enter your gift code on the “Order Review & Payment” at the end of Checkout. Only one gift code per order will be accepted.

Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC) Policies

  • Electronic Gift Certificates can only be redeemed at verabradley.com or in stores.
  • If the balance of the Electronic Gift Certificate is greater than the order total, the amount of the order total will be deducted from the Electronic Gift Certificates upon final purchase and remaining dollars will be available for future use.
  • If the balance of the Electronic Gift Certificates is less than the order total, the balance will be applied to the order and the Electronic Gift Certificates will be disabled. Payment through Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express is required for the outstanding balance.
  • Electronic Gift Certificates are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • Lost or stolen Gift Certificates can only be replaced with proof of purchase.
  • Electronic Gift Certificate purchases will be charged applicable sales tax.
  • Only one Electronic Gift Certificate code per order will be accepted.

Thank you for reaching out to Vera Bradley to share your idea. We appreciate knowing that you’ve thought of us.

Unfortunately, we are unable to consider any unsolicited ideas outside of the Vera Bradley organization. Since the Vera Bradley team is always working on new products, designs and other creative projects, we don’t review any ideas outside of Vera Bradley to avoid confusion over the source of the idea.

We realize that we may be missing out on a few good ideas, but we feel it is best to adopt this policy for business and legal reasons.

Rolling Luggage Warranty & Repair

Vera Bradley Rolling Luggage products are fully warranted to the original owner or gift recipient against defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years starting from the date of purchase. If a problem occurs with this Vera Bradley Rolling Luggage product (the "Product") and such problem is caused by a manufacturing defect in material or workmanship, Vera Bradley will, in its discretion, either fix or replace the Product in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions contained herein.

All in-bound shipping to the foregoing facility must be prepaid and insured. If the damage to the Product is covered under this warranty, Vera Bradley will repair or replace the Product and return it to you within four to six weeks. If Vera Bradley determines that the damage to the Product is not covered under this warranty, the Product will be returned to you.

This warranty is limited to manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, improper care, normal wear and tear and/or damage caused by airlines or other carriers. Vera Bradley makes no other warranty, express or implied, beyond the terms of this express warranty. Vera Bradley's obligation under this warranty shall not include any liability for special, indirect or consequential damage or delay, whether arising in contract, in tort, under warranty, or otherwise. Some states do not allow for the exclusion or limitation on incidental or consequential damages, so the foregoing limitation or exclusion may not apply. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights which vary from state to state.

Rolling Luggage Warranty Claim Instructions

You may return your Rolling Luggage pieces for warranty evaluation and repair with the inclusion of the product, a completed Warranty Claim Form and a copy of your proof of purchase (the original Vera Bradley receipt or online packing slip).

Counterfeits

All Vera Bradley merchandise has the original logo tag sewn into the inside lining of the bag. Counterfeit or imitation merchandise is not comparable to the quality and craftsmanship of Vera Bradley merchandise. "Vera Bradley," "Vera Bradley Designs, Inc.," and Vera Bradley's other brand names and logos are registered trademarks of Vera Bradley Designs, Inc. Using the Vera Bradley name without permission warrants legal action. The sale and distribution of counterfeit product is a crime and is punishable by imprisonment and fines.

Supply Chain

Our Commitment

In January of 2012, the state of California passed the Transparency in Supply Chains Act (the "Statute"). This Statute requires companies that conduct business in California to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from direct supply chains. More specifically, this Statute requires that companies disclose to what extent, if any, they address each of the five points below:

Do you engage in verification of product supply chains to evaluate and address risks of human trafficking and slavery?

Vera Bradley's Supplier Code of Conduct prohibits the use of forced, involuntary, or child labor of any kind in our supply chain. Suppliers may not participate in, or benefit from, any form of forced labor (including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded/debt labor, sale labor, etc.). Before we engage with a potential supplier, a Vera Bradley Auditor or third-party audit provider conducts an on-site audit to evaluate each potential supplier's ability to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Do you conduct audits of suppliers to evaluate supplier compliance with company standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains?

Each facility of any supplier conducting business with Vera Bradley is subject to an audit to ensure that they are in compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct. The audits are performed by either a trained Vera Bradley Auditor or a third-party audit provider who employs experts in local laws and who speak the local languages. The frequency of audits for each facility is based on factors such as prior risk assessment and previous audit results. Our goal is to audit each facility once per year. Currently our audits are scheduled with the suppliers due to the amount of time and resources required on-site to complete all audit requirements.

Do you require direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into the product comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business?

Vera Bradley requires all finished goods suppliers, as well as any direct-sourced component suppliers, to be in compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct in addition to any applicable laws within the country of origin regarding slavery and human trafficking. We ask all suppliers to certify that the production of any additional materials incorporated into the product comply with the applicable laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the countries with whom they are doing business.

Do you maintain internal accountability standards and procedures for employees or contractors failing to meet company standards regarding slavery and trafficking?

Our Supplier Code of Conduct states that any discovery of forced labor or human trafficking shall be treated as a zero-tolerance violation, which requires immediate corrective action by the supplier. In the event of a zero tolerance violation, Vera Bradley reserves the right to refuse to begin, or to terminate, a business relationship, regardless of any corrective action taken.

Do you provide company employees and management, who have direct responsibility for supply chain management, training on human trafficking and slavery, particularly with respect to mitigating risks within the supply chain of products?

Vera Bradley is currently working towards training all employees, management, and third-party audit providers who work with our supply chain with regards to the risks of human trafficking and slavery as well as what actions can be taken to mitigate these risks.

Conflict Minerals

Vera Bradley, Inc. believes that its commitment to integrity, human rights, and social responsibility extends to its global supply base. We support ending the violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from a location described as the "Conflict Region", which is situated in the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission adopted final rules to implement,as directed by Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. The rules require public companies to disclose basis whether the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture contain "conflict minerals" that are "necessary to the functionality or production" of those products and report to the SEC on an annual basis.

The definition of "conflict minerals" refers to gold, as well as tin, tantalum, and tungsten, which are the derivatives of cassiterite, columbite-tantalite, and wolframite, regardless of where they are sourced, processed or sold. The U.S. Secretary of State may designate other materials to this list in the future. We support these requirements to further the humanitarian goal of ending violent conflict in the DRC and surrounding countries, which has been partially financed by the exploitation and trade of "conflict minerals".

  1. Support the aims and objectives of the U.S. legislation on the supply of "conflict minerals".
  2. Do not knowingly procure specified metals that originate from facilities in the "Conflict Region" that are not certified as "conflict free".
  3. Ensure compliance with these requirements, and ask our suppliers to undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chains to assure that specified metals are being sourced only from:
    • Mines and smelters outside the "Conflict Region" or
    • Mines and smelters that have been certified by an independent third party as "conflict free" if located within the "Conflict Region".

This due diligence includes having our suppliers provide written evidence documenting that raw materials used to produce gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten, used in the materials to manufacture components and products supplied to Vera Bradley, Inc., originate from outside the "Conflict Region" or if they originate from within the "Conflict Region", that the mines or smelters be certified as "conflict free" by an independent third party. The aim is to ensure that only "conflict free" materials and components are used in products that we manufacture or procure.

If we discover the use of these minerals produced in facilities that are considered to be "non-conflict free", in any material, finished good, or component we procure, we will take appropriate actions to transition that product to become "conflict free".

Vera Bradley Bunny & Bear Ring Rattle Recall

Vera Bradley is recalling its Bear Ring Rattle and Bunny and is offering a refund for return of the products. Please ensure that children no longer have access to the recalled products.

Vera Bradley has recently learned that the pom-pom tail can detach from the body of the bear rattle and the bunny, posing a choking hazard to young children. We have received no reports of injuries caused by or related to the recalled products. This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Vera Bradley will refund $13.50 for each Bear Ring Rattle and $21.00 for each Bunny returned. Alternately, Vera Bradley will refund the actual retail price paid, including tax, if you submit a purchase receipt for the items.
