Returns & Cancellations

At Vera Bradley, we not only want you to be totally satisfied with your products, but so thrilled with your purchase that you share us with YOUR friends. We know it’s sometimes necessary to return or exchange an item and we want to make it easy for you.

Online Return Instructions

You may return your new or unused product within 60 days of purchase with original Vera Bradley receipt or online packing slip. Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC). An EGC can be used on verabradley.com or in Vera Bradley retail stores. All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and original receipt or packing slip. We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with this policy.

Repack Merchandise

Package the merchandise in its original container, if available. Enclose the completed Return Form and original Vera Bradley receipt or packing slip.

Credit

Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate (EGC). An EGC can be used on verabradley.com or in Vera Bradley retail stores. In the event we do not have original proof of purchase, a credit in the form of an Electronic Gift Certificate will be issued for the lowest price sold. If for some reason the item is no longer available we will issue an Electronic Gift Certificate for your product for the amount listed below:

  • Accessories - $5.00
  • Handbags & Travel bags - $10.00

Rules & Restrictions for Returns

  • Returns must be prepaid and insured by the customer and shipped via the carrier of your choice.
  • All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and original receipt or packing slip.
  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • All products must be unused and undamaged to ensure a full credit. We will not accept CODs or third-party billing for returned merchandise. All COD packages will be refused.
  • We cannot be responsible for items that we do not receive.
  • In the event an item is damaged during shipment, please contact the carrier with your tracking number.
  • Original form of payment will be credited for your refund: if the item was a gift you will receive credit in the form of a Gift Certificate to be used on verabradley.com
  • Returns over $500 without a proof of purchase cannot be processed. Purchases for re-sale will not be accepted for returns, regardless of dollar amount.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with these policies

Returning Personalized or Monogrammed Styles

New or unused personalized items may be returned within 60 days of purchase with original Vera Bradley receipt or online packing slip. Refunds will be made in the form of original payment or an Electronic Gift Certificate for use on verabradley.com, excluding the Personalization fee. Fees related to Personalization will not be refunded. All returns must be accompanied by a Return Form and original receipt or packing slip.

Damaged or Defective Items

In the event an item is defective upon receipt or has a manufacturing defect, please fill out a Return Form with defect or damage noted on the form. Items will be inspected and a determination made as to the cause of defect. In the event an item is damaged during shipment, please contact the carrier with your tracking number.

If a gift box is damaged in shipping, please call Customer Service at (888) 855-8372 during normal business hours.

Exchanges

We do not process exchanges at this time; however, you may order a replacement item at any time by placing a new order. You may return your order for a refund.

Order Cancellations

Once an order is placed, Vera Bradley begins processing the request very quickly; however, it is possible to cancel an order during the Processing period. Please note, once the order moves into the Shipping process, it cannot be cancelled.

To cancel your order:
Visit verabradley.com and select "Account". Choose "Order Status" and enter your order number and billing zip code.

If the order status is "Pending," you will see an option to "Cancel your order." (Note: If your order does not have an option to cancel, we are unable to stop the shipment from being delivered.)

After you complete and submit your Cancellation Request, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been cancelled. Any pending charges will be refunded to you within 3 - 5 business days.

If you would like to make changes to the order or change the shipping address, you will need to cancel the order and place a new order.

If your order has already processed or shipped, you may return items by following the Return Instructions once you receive the delivery. Returns may be made to our online store or at your nearest Vera Bradley retailer (find your nearest Vera Bradley retailer). Learn more about Returns »

Items may occasionally be cancelled by our system if there was an issue with the order or in low-stock situations. If an item is cancelled, you will receive an email notice that will explain the reason for the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items.

Changes to Personalized or Monogrammed Styles

Our goal is to ship your order as quickly as possible; therefore, we are unable to make changes to a personalized order once it is placed.

Returning Items to a Vera Bradley Retail Store

If your purchase is less than 60 days old, you may return your items with receipt to a Vera Bradley Store, or contact an authorized Vera Bradley retailer for return assistance. All Vera Bradley company-owned stores also accept returns for online orders. If you are returning your items to an authorized Vera Bradley retailer, please contact them first to inquire about returns (on-line or in-store).

60 Day Limit on Returns with a Receipt:

  • If a new, unused item is returned within 60 days, you may receive a refund (either in store credit or the original form of payment) for the amount that was paid
  • Present the original packing slip or proof of purchase to the store associate.
  • Please present a valid Driver’s License or Government issued ID when returning product.
  • Items without a receipt that are new and unworn may be returned for the lowest sold price for a merchandise credit.
  • The Vera Bradley Store or authorized retailer will return the product to us on your behalf.
  • Please allow 2-3 weeks for a credit to appear on your original form of payment, or a gift certificate to be issued.
  • If at any time you need assistance, please call Vera Bradley Customer Service at (888) 855-8372 during normal business hours.
