The official kick off for the Vera Bradley Classic, Turn the Town Pink is a short (20 min) event that recognizes the importance of the Fort Wayne community coming together to support breast cancer research and the work of the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast  Cancer. The public is welcome to attend, pink attire suggested. Representatives from Fort Wayne businesses, Lutheran Health Network, and volunteers will all be in attendance.

Following the event, guests may walk to the Fort Wayne TinCaps game, where the entire team will be wearing pink jerseys in support of the cause. The jerseys will be later auctioned off with the proceeds benefiting the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Game tickets can be purchased by calling 482-6400 and the first 2,000 guests to call will receive a free Vera Bradley gift. Mention “Vera” when you buy your ticket, and the TinCaps will donate $1 back to the Foundation.

Vera Bradley’s Distribution Center, located off of I-69 near the GM plant will be blushing with color every evening starting tonight as pink lighting will turn the typically gray building into a bright pink. Visit turnthetownpink.org or verabradley.org for more information on all of the local businesses “going pink” to raise funds and awareness.
