I purchased the Tablet Hipster in Bittersweet to carry my iPad, and I find that I use it for far more than I expected. The size is perfect for someone who wants to carry a bag that is not thick. Not only does the bag hold the iPad wonderfully, it serves as a great everyday purse as well. I highly recommend this hipster for anyone looking for a slim crossbody bag that manages to hold a purse's inventory plus still leave space for a tablet.

Needs zippered area to hold credit cards
If you would just add a zippered area to hold cash and credit cards, (like on the little hipster) this could be the perfect bag. Without it you have to carry a billfold and that takes up too much space.

Love the Tablet Hipster!
I picked this bag out at the store because I loved the design and didn't realize it was meant for a tablet until I looked at the label. I don't own a tablet but I got the purse and absolutely love it. To me it is a horizontal version of the original "Hipster" which is one of my favorites. The tablet hipster has a lot of space. The two magnetic pockets on the outside are spacious and the inside can hold a lot. I usually have my wallet, phone, book, makeup, tissues and a few other small objects and there's plenty of room. There are also two slip pockets and one zip pocket on the inside. I love being able to carry a purse without having to hold it in my hands, this hipster is perfect for that!

I loved this bag and could not wait to get it but once I had it home and actually tried to use it, disappoint. The back compartment is too small to carry anything more than a wallet. If you are carrying an IPad, it makes the bag front heavy and doesn't hang well. love the concept but just not the final product. Now I must wait to exchange it for something more useful.

Such a pretty hipster!
My Tablet Hipster in Island Blooms was my 3rd Vera purchase, and it definitely won't be my last! I can easily fit my iPad 3 with the cover into the stylish front pocket along with my iPhone 4. The zipper compartment is compatible with my 11" MacBook Air, and has extra room for earbuds, gum, money and chargers. The back can fit any other necessities depending on my destination. For example, I can fit a notebook into it when I am on an airplane with a book light and pen. I mainly use this bag to hold my devices while I'm on a road trip, going to and Internet Cafe, and out with my friends. It's an overall great bag and do recommend it. Also, if you haven't already given the oh-so-pretty pattern Island Blooms a whirl, I suggest you do as it is very beautiful and has gotten me many compliments. Vera Bradley, you have won over my heart one again!

Love, love, love this tablet hipster! I have been looking for the "perfect" bag to use for a purse/iPad carrier combo and had originally gotten the mailbag so that I could easily slip my iPad, in its Vera folio cover, in it. But I did not like its orientation--too tall, everything would get lost inside and I could not find things. I found this tablet hipster bag to be perfect. My iPad in its protective Vera folio cover fits under the front magnetic flap. The main zipper compartment is not wide, but I found that by changing my wallet from the Vera mini zip to the Vera accordion wallet and place it in this space sideways, that I have lots of room for a book, keys, my cell, calendar, comb, etc. This is JUST what I wanted and was looking for. I will use this as a crossbody when traveling--it will be great at the airport. Love it!

My favorite cross body!!
Love, love, love!! This cross body is probably the best I have ever bought! I received this in Indigo Pop and its beautiful! After I put my iPad in there, there is still plenty of room in the other two compartments! Very spacious!

Great Slight Design Modification
Was excited about this crossbody due to the outside pocket to hold my kindle e-reader..which I dont leave home without.
Pros: My kindle fits nicely hardcover protective case and kindle combine. Inside is roomy enough to handle my wristlet, small photoalbum, keys and kindle also at times.
Cons: With kindle in from pocket it tends to make the purse hang too much towards the pocket and tips easily when leaning over or bending with purse on. If you dont have it zipped your stuff falls out as its out of balance.
Design sugguestion change: Prehaps if the strap was attached on opposite sides of the zipper it would help offset the weight in the pocket.

Returning or reselling mine...
I was so anxious for this bag to arrive as I was looking for a handbag that would also nicely accommodate my new Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The Note 8 dimensions are 8.30 x 5.35 x 0.31 inches - a little smaller than the Kindle Fire 8.9. It is an attractive bag. I keep my Note in a leather fold out case that also has a detachable little bluetooth keyboard. When closed and the keyboard is in, the thickness is exactly 1". It does fit into the table pouch with no problem but as soon as you put anything else in the purse, then the magnetic clasp on the tablet flap doesn't line up - so it sticks out weird unless you play around with it. The bag is also quite a bit narrower at the bottom than my favorite On The Go style. Although this bag is taller, I find I can actually get more in the On the Go, including the Note/case in the main compartment. When I transferred the exact same items from my On the Go to this bag it was difficult to get the zipper started to open or close without using 2 hands - I suppose because it is narrower, it pulls the zipper farther apart. And if I didn't put much in the other compartment, then it didn't hang correctly from the weight of the Note. If you don't keep your device in a case, you have a lighter weight or smaller device or you don't want to carry much with it, it may be a fine piece.
