Love it!
I purchased this bag online. When I received it, I thought it might be to big and that I might send it back. Before I could send it back I went out of town and used it as a suitcase. I love this bag! I was able to pack for 3 days in this bag with some room left for purchases I made. I love all the pockets and the padded strap. My Mom went with me and she had two bags and needed more room. Guess what she is getting for Christmas?!

Strong, gorgeous, with Unlimited Uses!
I am a nursing student. I carry around enormous textbooks, binders, and folders, not to mention scrubs, and nursing shoes, stethscopes, you name it- I have had to have it on some given day.
I use this for school, to go out (while it is a bit big for a purse, only one of us has to carry a bag when I take it!:), and for trips (perfect airline carry-on, and the pockets make it easy to retrieve anything quickly, while the zipper makes it perfect and safe for going on the security belt at airports!).
This bag has SAVED me. I was worried that a cloth bag would not be able to withstand the weight of 2000+page textbooks, and a laptop, but it did and does. There is no pulling on the stitching, even after placing it in a washer and dryer several times. The colors are not fading, stains come out, and the straps are as stable and strong as they were the day I left the store with it.
The padded shoulder straps are what make it for me. With that amount of weight, all other bags caused me to have shoulder and back pain, not to mention the marks they left on my skin. These thick straps with padding not only distribute the weight perfectly, and are more than long enough for comfortable shoulder wear, but protect my skin as well.
I use the plastic pockets for water bottles and have six MORE pockets inside, the smallest of which fit a cellphone perfectly (even large androids) or a pair of sunglasses. Four outside pockets can fit large wallets or small makeup bags and even my closed top coffee mug with a very wide base. You can find a way to make anything fit.
Months after I started using mine, I see them all over school now, and I still get daily compliments and questions about this tote. It is a comfortable, gorgeous, strong and lifesaving bag. To be honest, mine is still in perfect condition and yet I still consider buying a second one just to have it in one of the new great patterns.
I cannot recommend it enough!!!

Perfect bag for Teachers, Travel, and Mommy Stuff
I'm a third grade teacher. I have this tote in Symphony in Hue. I LOVE it! It is big enough to carry all my teaching materials, purse, and lunch with room to spare. The pockets are very convenient for small items. I love the zip top. I can zip it closed if needed or tuck the zipper flaps down for an open tote. The padded straps make carrying it on my shoulder very comfortable. This bag is roomy enough to pack clothes for a weekend away or as a plane carry-on. It is also perfect for moms to use as a tote for all their kids' items. It will easily hold toys, clothes, diapers, snacks. I use it for school, as a weekender for short trips, and as a plane carry on. It is roomy, well made, and looks great! BUY IT! You'll love it, too.

Great Bag!
I bought this for my aunt since she's a teacher in Va Va Bloom. She can hold so much! She carries her planner, textbooks(4), 3 notebooks, and a pencil box! She's had it for about 2 years and no damage! The stitching's wonderful. And it's also good for vacations, I really recommend this bag for anyone looking for an awesome tote!

Perfect bag for the athlete!
Like other reviewers said-this bag is HUGE. I actually sent it back the first time because I thought they sent me the large miller bag! I'm a 5'2" marathon runner and this bag while large is easy to carry. I can fit a change of clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, sports gear and extras. into this bag. I love the pockets because I know where to easily find my Gu's, sunglasses, hairbands, running tape, etc. This is the bag I take with me when I go away for a weekend race within driving distance. I love that it has a zip top so nothing falls out and people can't look inside. It's so much better looking than regular and very expensive sports bags.

Get Carried Away- Limes up!
I absolutely LOVE this bag. I am a nursing student, so I have to carry a lot of text books on a daily basis. My old backpack (not Vera Bradley) was completely worn out, so I came to the website to find a replacement. I decided on the Get Carried Away Tote because it was HUGE and had a lot of pockets for organization. I can fit an entire day's worth of text books and notebooks, 2-4 water bottles, and all of my necessities that usually go into my purse in this bag, and everything stays completely organized. Yes, it can get heavy to haul around, but what bag wouldn't with a bunch of textbooks in it?
I have also used this bag on weekend trips, and it held everything I needed for the entire weekend. I can't say enough good things about this bag. I LOVE the Limes up color, it is bright and cheery for spring/summer. I do plan to buy this exact bag in a darker color for fall/winter, when the time comes. Perfect for toting everything to work
I work a couple of days a week in my office and the rest from home, and I carry my purse, BIG laptop, and lunch box back and forth. This tote can hold all of that plus any files I need, mail, and more. I love the outside pockets for items I need to keep handy. The wide, flat bottom makes everything easy to organize and locate, and even when it gets very heavy, the straps are comfortable.

Versatile! (Grad student, teacher, traveler)
First of all, I have quite the reputation for carrying around large purses because I have so much stuff. This bag rocks! I am a graduate student and I am able to fit several textbooks, binders, wallet, makeup bag, lunchbox, pencil bag, keys, sunglasses, cell phone, calculator, etc. in this tote. It's especially great for days when I am on campus for 8+ hours. As a teacher, I can also fit everything I need for work. I have traveled with this bag and it makes a great carry-on, especially for those who over pack like me. This bag is excellent quality and holds up well under weight. Basically, it can hold as much as you yourself can carry (and are able to lift.) As other reviewers have said, it is quite large. I often get comments such as "That bag is so huge I can fit you in there." (I am a little over 5 feet tall.) I also have received several compliments on the quality of the bag and the aesthetics from both men and women (color: Portobello Road). A friend of mine (she is a grad student, teacher, and mother of 3) loved my bag so much that she bought her own! I would definitely recommend this to anyone has a lot of stuff!
