Campus Backpack 4.4 5 228 236
Pillowcases can function as a better backpack! I purchased another Vera Bradley print of the "Campus Backpack" approximately 2012 and instantaneously loved it. I planned upon utilizing my backpack to the fullest extent and estimated about a four year lifespan of good use. I was dead wrong, for about three or so months into the "four year lifespan" I noticed the zipper began to snag and the handle for carrying the backpack began to stretch. Within five months, the very front pocket completely ripped open. Since then, I've somehow managed to use my backpack for two whole years. That being said, I've had to learn a few tricks to get the best use. I can't ever hold the backpack in its entirety (unless it's completely empty) by the handle, I can only use one of the two zippers for the main pocket because one of the zippers completely came off, I can't store anything bulky in the front most compartment (unless I don't want it anymore)... and above all, I most certainly cannot place more than 10lbs worth of items or really anything besides two binders. Not to mention it's extremely dirty and the wash beats up the backpack so badly that it has begun to tore. I suggest buying a pillowcase. You'll get more of a bang for your buck and a pillowcase can withstand more in terms of wear and tear! August 24, 2014
Beautiful 1-year backpack I was so excited to receive my backpack for my first year in college. However it really only lasted one semester before I saw it wearing down. It is very roomy and the designs are so cute! The bottom of the bag had the most wear obviously. I did take great care of this bag and had no other problem with it. Although I won't be using it again this fall I do love the backpack. I do say it will only last about a year. August 22, 2014
Great backpack I luv this backpack I used it for middle school and it worked out great but at the end it started to fall apart but I really luv this backpack otherwise August 20, 2014
The best backpack I've owned in a long time This is probably my favorite backpack I've every had. There is so much space and its so cute. If your looking into a Vera Bradley backpack for middle school/ high school I HIGHLY suggest you get this one. All of my friends who have gotten a Vera Bradley backpack other than the campus bag have switched to the campus. My old campus bag does have a small rip at the bottom, but thats to be expected. Especially since I've taken it to the beach, sleepovers and its been on the bus floor. I will defiantly be buying this product again for this school year. August 12, 2014
This backpack is super great if you take care of it! My whole freshman year of High School I was super cautious about what I put in my biology book. However, DO NOT WASH IT!!! I washed it in hopes of having a cleaner backpack to tote around all my stuff, and all of the cardboard from the bottom of the backpack was all over the backpack and washing machine. You can only imagine how terrible the mess was! I'm trying again to see if maybe it'll all go away, but we'll see August 9, 2014
Nice size My sister and I bought this backpack mine was in summer cottage and my sisters was in ribbons. At first I loved the size and all the pockets so I could stay orginized. However towards the end of the year the cardboard started to band that is at the bottom of the bag. Then it began to get holes in the bottom. August 9, 2014
Good size and cute pattern, weak base and handle I purchased this backpack in Portobello Road last fall for my 7th grade year. It was a beautiful bag and still is, but I was a bit doubtful as to how well it would hold up since it is only one layer of fabric. Because of this, I made sure that I treated it very carefully. It is a very roomy bag and it fit all of my school supplies very comfortably, but the handle at the top started to tear away from the bag after less than a month of use. I'm not sure if this was from poor design or how I treated the bag, but since I wasn't rough with it I think that it is the former. After about another two months of use, the cardboard base started to bend and eventually broke in half, so I did my best to repair what I could so it could withstand the entire year. I'm planning to use this bag again for this coming year, but I am looking into replacing it for high school in case it tears beyond repair. Other than the problem with the base and the handle, it is like new and still a beautiful bag. I would recommend that you don't load it with a lot of heavy textbooks if you do buy it, as that would probably make it tear a lot faster. August 8, 2014
Pretty, but doesn't hold up Bought this for my daughter last year from the website. It didn't even hold up one year and the outer fabric came off one of the shoulder straps. There is also a hole in one of the outer pockets. It seems roomy but high school kids enjoy overstuffing their backpacks. Add a chrome book and forget it. Because this is 100 percent cotton it just didn't stand up to beating it takes from thick binders and hardback edges. Do yourself a favor and order a sturdy pack actually built for books. Backpack I bought this backpack for my daughter for Christmas in 2013. She used it from Jan. 2014 through the beginning of May in 2014 and the strap on the top of the backpack broke! She was only in the 6th grade so there wasn't a lot of weight being carried in it. Although the pattern (Heather) is pretty I will not buy again! August 8, 2014
love it, but... I bought this bag my senior year of high school and bought laptop backpack the previous year. I loved my bad it was great! I love how comfortable it was and it seemed to fit most of my things that year. I really liked the design which was baroque. Though I did have a problem with both bags, that was the bottom always ripped. I don't know if it is because the fabric was not durable enough or if it was just a heavy workload on it. That was one kinda major thing for me. It really sucks that I can't reuse the bag unless I put light things in it. Otherwise I love it. If you purchase this, please be cautious of the bottom and the amount of things you put in it. I will most likely purchase it again because I really did enjoy the bag and will try to take better care of it. August 2, 2014
