Crossbody fits all body types and heights
The one thing I was worried about when I ordered this was that it wouldn't be adjustable enough to use for people who aren't skinny. A lot of times I see great crossbody bags that aren't so great if you have boobs or are tall. This strap should be fine for most people, I think. The bag almost fits more than would be realistic to use as crossbody, but fortunately ,the strap does adjust small enough to wear over the shoulder too. I wanted this for day trips and vacations where you want to have a lot of things with you, but want to also have your arms free, and it fits enough stuff so I'd be okay for the day: wristlet, tablet, small notebook, lotion, small makeup bag, and a few other odds and ends. I also like the zippered top. Great bag!

The perfect cross-body bag
I love cross body bags. Always have. My biggest issue is that 99% are just one huge pocket. I like to keep my Kindle and iPad separate from other things and like to have at least two pockets. I also need an easy-access pocket to drop my keys and phone in when getting in/out of the car. This bag has all of that. It is absolutely perfect. I love, love, LOVE this bag. I am so glad the girl at the store pointed it out to me. I do agree that the little zip pocket would be better inside the bag, but it still works and holds everything (bobby pins, band-aids, hair ties, nail clippers, etc.). I just wish this bag came in some more "neutral" colors instead of only patterns as I'm not really a pattern person - but I do love it in Ellie Blue (a sale color!) and have zero regrets with this bag. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Strap needs padding
I love this bag except for the strap. It twists and folds over becoming about 1/2" wide and then digs in your shoulder. This bag is made to hold everything you'd want to put in it and it does but all the weight makes it dig into your shoulder too since there is no padding. Padding in the strap would make it so much better!
I want another one in another color to use for the spring and summer but have been putting off buying another one in hopes they change the strap. It is very expensive for a cloth bag so i'm hoping for a better strap to make it perfect. Even for a cross body the strap is super long and it "grows" in length so you have to adjust it once in a while.
I have 5 other Vera bags but don't want to use any one but this one.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a better strap!

new bohemian
Newly free from the corporate world, I was looking for a lighter weight bag than my Vintage Leather Classic which weighs a TON full. After looking online (liking the Happy Snails ALOT) I had to check out in person. Spent 85 minutes at retailer then walked out with the mailbag and wallet in Provencal (Not the color I wanted but the sale and bag made me do it.) It holds my I pad, notebook, wallets, tape measures, make-up, keys for starters and weighs less than my other bad empty! I adjust shoulder to cross-body at whim. I keep playing with the pockets and compartments as I've never had so many spacious choices. I use it and like it so much I've bought three Vera bags in two weeks since as gifts and have not put this one down. I love it.

Just so-so
I really wanted to love this bag, and it seemed perfect. I needed something to carry my iPad along with my other usual purse items, as well as a cross body style. I thought I had found it in this bag, but I find it to be just eh. It does hold everything, but it gets way too heavy to wear crossbody. The design of the strap makes it twist and dig into my shoulder. Also, the pockets on the inside zipper part are on the front side, not the side closest to your body. I find this to be a bit awkward and when my iPad is in the big slip pocket, it tends to make the interior pockets bulge. I am going to get the campus tote, I think that will work better for my needs and I will just abandon the cross body idea for now.

The BEST bag I've ever had, after much searching!
Finally, this is the best purse I've ever had! I tend to carry alot in my purse, including a journal or book, my phone, wristlet, personal items, gum, hand cream and sanitizer, and more, including stuff I might randomly throw in. The Mailbag hold all of it with room to spare, and it isn't bulky, it keeps a nice slim profile; I can keep it on my shoulder (or keep it crossbody) wherever I go and don't feel like I have to take it off.

I have several Mailbag purses. I carry a lot of things, and there is a place for every bit of it inside the Mailbag. I hope Vera never stops making this style of bag. I'd be crushed! Love, love, love!

Love, love, love this bag!
Perfect to tote around my google chromebook! (Would work well for an iPad too if you were so inclined.) I wanted something with enough space to carry the chromebook, power cord, wallet, keys, but sleek enough I would really use it all the time to keep my chromebook at arm's reach for work and play. I tried several bags before landing on the mailbag. I carry it every day and love it!

My favorite Vera!!!!
I truly love this bag. I have about 5 different styles of Vera Bradley purses and this is by far my favorite. It holds so much and still looks really small. This may even be the first time I buy the same purse in a different color because I like it that much! Im also buying one for my best friend.

Great bag!
I've been carrying the Three-O-Tote and the Angle Tote for the last couple of years, and I was really hesitant to switch to the mailbag because I thought it would be too small. However, I knew I wanted a hands-free (crossbody) bag, and after researching them, I knew this was a good choice. I purchased the Mailbag in Sun Valley a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say that I LOVE this bag. It fits everything I need, with space to spare. It really is bigger than it looks. I love the crossbody design - it is very comfortable to carry. I hope to get more Mailbags in different patterns in the future!
