Rated 5 out of 5 by VBBamagalTN The perfect VB purse for me
I have never been able to find a VB purse that suited me. They were either too big or too small. I purchase a couple only to get them home, load them up & just not work. Well, my search has ended! I DO LOVE all the compartments. I have membership & business cards in one, my keys go in another & I use the other one for gum & mints. The 2 zipper pockets near the top hold other little items I do not want floating around my purse. The main part holds a wallet, small cosmetic bag & my Galaxy S3 just perfect. It is definitely the right size for a medium purse size gal like me! I just might buy another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Debina Love this bag
I have this bag in jazzy blooms, it is the perfect size for everything. When i bought it, i did not realize how many compartments it has. Nice secure areas for sunglasses or anything. It has 2 large zip compartments one on each side of the bag. I took it traveling and it was wonderful for organizing plus a slip pocket on the outside for cell phone. I wish they were not retiring this. It is the best bag since the betsey. In my opinion it is better than the betsey.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KLCL Overall, I'm pleased with Whitney
I have been carrying Whitney in Summer Cottage for a month now and am, overall, pleased with it. It is roomy, but not bulky. In the main compartment I have the Compact Turn Lock Wallet in Red with White Stripe, a pill minder, a small digital camera, a 3-ounce bottle of lotion and a small (non-VB) cosmetic case in which I carry an EpiPen, a small container of OTC medicines and a card holder full of gift cards. Other posters have mentioned the gap at one end and it’s true there is one, but I just keep the cosmetic bag on that side and the lotion and camera safely on the other end so nothing falls out.
There are three pockets inside but they are a bit shallow, so that everything taller (pens, lip gloss) that I usually stand up in the pockets in other Vera Bradley bags has to go in on an angle. Also, I’m unhappy with the quality of stitching, as one seam between two pockets is already ripping.
As other commenters said, the two zip pockets on the top do not go all the way to the bottom of the bag, but I have no problem with that. I haven’t had a problem with the bag tipping because I don’t overstuff those pockets. In one, I keep my checkbook and my extra key ring with keys I don’t use frequently and all of those little store loyalty card tags. The other is great for coupons and other paper so that it’s not constantly cluttering the interior as it usually does. The pocket in the front is the perfect size for my iPhone (with plenty of extra room if I want to toss my keys in) and it’s deep, so I can really shove my phone down there so it doesn’t fall out.
The strap drop is perfect for me and the bag fits well under my arm and isn’t too bulky under there. I’m plus-sized, so that matters to me; many bags that are meant to go over the arm just don’t feel right to me, but this one is comfortable, even when it is fairly well packed.
Besides eliminating the above-mentioned gap, the one thing I would change is to make the zippers for the two top pockets go in the other direction. Because all three have those handy VB ribbons on them and they all land in the same spot, I’m constantly pulling at the wrong zipper when I’m trying to open the bag in a hurry. I’d love it if the other two went in the other direction. Would I buy this bag again? Probably, but only if I could get it on sale or with a coupon; otherwise I think it’s a bit costly for what it is. That said, I do recommend it.
