Anyone have the "On the Go" bag in Indigo Pop?
This isn't a review, but I noticed from others' that the style of the bag has recently changed. I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if the bag in "Indigo Pop" is the "old" or new style? Either way - it seems like the type of bag I would like, but I always like a large outside pocket for my keys, preferably zippered, and that seems to have changed in size... Thanks!

I don't see a problem
I just bought the On The Go on Saturday from my VB store in Tutti Fruitti.Great color. I didn't even notice a difference with this new style. I am still able to cram everything that I carry on a daily basis in the bag. I bought a turn lock wallet (my favorite) and a small coin purse ( like to get one for all my cards that I carry for different stores). So with those items plus a trial size can of hairspray, a trial size bottle of my perfume, extra keys, checkbook all in the main area I have room. In the zipper pocket inside I keep my gum, mints, extra pens. In the slip pockets I keep my Ipod, small note book, etc. I have plenty of room. The outside zipper pocket holds my lipstick, lip gloss, nail file, aspirins, band aides and a small mirror with no problem.I use the outside side pockets for my Iphone 5 with a case and it fits with no problem. I love this bag and will get another in Ribbons just as soon as they have the lock wallet in Ribbons available.

On the Go Favorite bag
I have about 10 On the Go bags which I obviously love. However the last one I received as a gift in portabello has been redesigned a little. The outside pocket is not as wide and the inside pockets are a different size, also. I do like the new inside zippered pouch. I have had to shift my necessities into different configurations to make everything fit. It's been a little inconvenient, but this design bag is still my favorite because I can carry my cell phone in one outside pocket and my glasses case in the other, always ready to grab and use.

beware- different design
I was very disappointed to find that the design of On The Go has changed since I bought it in a different color previously. In particular, the outside pocket, which was so handy for storing papers, had shrunk by about 1/3 and is pretty near useless.
What's more, there is no clue that this has happened from the item writeup on the website, because they don't show you that side of the bag.
With this significant a redesign, the product should be renamed.

Upset with On the Go
On The Go has been the only purse I have used in years. I have a bad back so I need one that is light weight. This also has pockets on each end for my cell phone and my keys and the long pocket on the front to hold my handicap tag. Was very disappointed and upset when I found the pocket on the front was much shorter. My tag won't fit. I also really miss the removable hidden cardboard bottom.

Great everyday bag
After reading the reviews before I bought the newly designed On the Go bag, I had some concerns. Hopefully my review will help clear it up for others.
It's a great size - I was carrying the Betsy, then the Saddle Up (older style). I fell in love with the cross-body style. The Saddle Up was a little big for me. The On the Go is perfect - enough pockets so everything doesn't end up in the bottom. Love the outside pockets.
As regard to the other reviews- the side pockets are a good side. I have an iPhone 4S in an Otter Box Commuter case - fits just fine; I didn't have to stretch it or anything. The bag has a sturdy bottom insert - some reviewers noted they changed the style but mine had an insert for the bottom.
Over all - love the bag. I like it better than the Saddle Up bag, no flap to get in the way. The outside pockets are great and hold stuff nicely - my phone is secure, doesn't fall out.

On the Go is Spot On
First off let me say something about the whole 'old vs. new' argument with this bag: the upgrades to the interior were needed. So many of VB's bags have no internal zipper pocket and I'll gladly take them over tiny little pockets put on the outside or inside. It's true that the side pockets on the outside are smaller and can hardly fit anyone's phone, especially those with a case! But think of what it can fit! A pack of gum, hand sanitizer, spare change, a tic-tac case! All it takes is some rearranging to get used to, and old habits die hard, but take it easy on the new On the Go because I love it.
The bigger slip pocket on the inside is needed; it can actually fit a phone longer and wider than your typical iPhone (all you Android users can rejoice). The interior zipper pocket is an obvious plus. The bag DOES come with a hard bottom (at least mine did) and does not sag with your items in it. The outside zip pocket can fit a number of items but they cannot be bulky (like a bottle of advil or a mini wallet). Long crossbody strap: love it of course.
Give this bag a shot. It's great as a day bag and can carry more than you think. I wouldn't recommend it over the Mailbag when it comes to how much it can hold, but this is a decent alternative to those who don't carry books or a laptop.

I Love "On The Go"! :)
I purchased this bag in Priscilla Pink and it looks great! It fits everything I need. I am 16, and I think this bag is perfect for teens or adults! The side pockets are great for my cellphone on one side and a small hand lotion on the other side. I have a small cellphone, but it does fit an iPhone (with the top sticking out just a little). I love the interior zipper pocket, and the slip pockets keeps me organized. The exterior zipper pocket is perfect for coupons or a little extra cash. This bag is very comfortable to wear as a cross body or a shoulder bag. It's the perfect size for me, not too big and not too small. I'd call this a medium-sized bag. It's the best bag I've ever owned and I plan on purchasing more Vera Bradley bags later this year! :)

Way to go!
I have seven "on the go" vb bags! One black backback and several other styles, but on the go is my favorite. It is light weight and I don't overload my bag. Phone and glasses in outside pockets...checkbook, wallet, and personal items inside! Perfecto! I love it and want an all black one...probably will order for my birthday! Thanks Vera Bradley, you da bomb!

Not as good as the old one.
I agree with some of the previous users of this bag. Why change a
good thing. I also miss the removable hard bottom from all the bags.
The new styles are starting to seem chintzy and not quality for
some reason. They just dont "feel right". The only bags I would
buy from the current bags are the - On the go and the Mailbag.
I cant believe they still havent perfected a computer bag for a laptop.
I have a prototype from years ago which is great. Too bad they
cant make that again.! Ps I have about 50 vera products.
