Broken hinge
I agree with the other reviewers regarding the hinge. I LOVE VB and have many, many products. This is the first product to totally disappoint me. The hinge broke after only a couple of months of use. Specifically, it no longer "snaps" and will not stay shut anymore. I have the sunglass case as well and it is still working fine.

Great glasses case
This is an amazing glasses case. I am in the 6th grade and bring to school every day. I bought this in Island blooms and it is gorgeous! when I bought it it had a string on it to carry it by, that made it even better. My mom also has one of these and she loves it also, I would recommend this to friends and family and well ANYONE.

Hinge Broke
I had recently gotten glasses when I bought this case and I figured that something from Vera Bradley would last and be good quality. It really did seem like a good, sturdy case but after about a month the hinge just broke. By this I mean the case is lopsided and it doesn't close anymore. I was really disappointed with that because I'm 15 years old and I used money that I earned from babysitting to buy this case and it didn't end up doing what I bought it for, which was to protect my glasses. A couple of my friends bought this case as well and at one point, their hinges broke too! If you want a case that will last for the money, I don't suggest this one.

Perfect!!!
I bought this case in "Canyon" after getting my first pair of glasses back in October and it still looks almost brand-new! What I love about this is that it doesn't snap shut quickly like most other eyeglass cases, and you can actually sit with it open and it stands up without falling over. I get a ton of compliments on it. I'm not sure why the % is so low for this because it's great!! However, admittedly I only need glasses for distance so I'm not constantly using it, but it's held up very nicely from being pulled in and out of my purses and schoolbag!

Great eyewear case
I read the reviews and it sounds like people have had different experiences with the case. I have been one who has had a positive experience with my case and I've had it for about a year and a half. I use mine for my reading glasses and I have put mine through the paces. I move it around to different purses and I frequently open and close it throughout the day. I do see that certain types of frames do not fit into the case as well since I have had to get a couple of new pairs of glasses this past year. I am looking to purchase a new case in a different pattern so I will see if there is anything different with the quality with a newer case.

Falls apart in a week!
I bought this case and used it for about a wk or two. It completely broke and I was only placing it in my purse. Was not rough with it at all! It does not shut and completely ripped apart. Going to retail store tomorrow to see if they will replace.

SO disappointed!
Perhaps this is just my own fault, but this case is WAY too small. Let me clarify: it's not tall/high enough to manage many pairs of glasses. Maybe it's made for those little drugstore readers?
The measurement says that it's only an inch high, and that's about right. Turns out my glasses are bigger than that. I don't think my glasses are particularly large, either. An inch is not "tall" enough for either of my two pairs of glasses.
I have an old, old case, in the Nantucket navy pattern (so you KNOW how old it is,) and so that's the one I had to go back to.
And it sounds like VB needs to re-think their hinges! My old Nantucket that gets used every day is still near perfect!

I love all my VB stuff but this one's a dud
I have purchased a couple of these glasses cases over the past two years. All my VB stuff + I have three daughters who love their Vera Bradley. All my products have worn well and kept their color, stitching, zippers and shape well. So I was very disapointed with the glasses case and the way it didn't hold up. As mentioned by another reviewer the hinges break easily and then the case doesn't close. I have a couple of cases by other manufacturers that have lasted for years... just not the fun colors like VB. Let us know when you have a new and improved case and I am sure we would be happy to try again...

Love It
I am VERY surprised by all the negative reviews. So, I had to throw in my 2 cents. I have had this eyeglasses case for 2 years now. I use it a lot since I only wear my glasses when driving, shopping, going to the movies. And I always have it with me. So, I am frequently opening and closing it and throwing it in my purse. It has held up 100%. No breaking or tearing or anything. I love it and definitely recommend it.

surprised by the negative reviews, mine is great!
I got this case for my birthday last february. It is now approaching thanksgiving and my case is still in great shape! I put it in my backpack with my heavy books, but i tuck it in front of them so that it doesn't get crushed between or underneath them. I was surprised hearing about all of the negative reviews, because mine is still working just fine! Sometimes the top case gets crammed into the bottom case, but you can just open it up and it pops back into place. This case is awesome! However if you have larger sized glasses, i would reccomend looking at the case in person to make sure it fits.
