Fantastic for Travel
I recently took a study abroad trip to England and Scotland for three weeks. I carried this purse every single day and it was absolutely fabulous. The crossbody style was perfect because I never had to worry about having to hang on to it or setting it down and leaving it somewhere. Many of my fellow classmates carried small backpacks, but worried about pickpockets. Not me, because my bag was always where I could see it.
This bag also has plenty of room. It was just large enough to fit my composition book for on-site assignments, my camera, travel hairbrush, pens, coin purse, phone, headphones, small water bottle, kindle, and makeup and still have room to spare for things such as small souvenirs. I could even fit my rain jacket in there as well on the few days we weren't sure if it would rain (otherwise, I was always wearing it), although that made the purse look stuffed. It could get heavy with all of these things in it, so I usually just carried my notebook, brush, phone, and coin purse. Just understand that it was capable of holding all of these things when I needed them.
The front slip pocket was perfect for my phone and other things I needed quick access to. Be careful with the magnetic closure, though. I accidentally demagnetized my Underground pass while sliding it into that pocket, as well as one of my hotel key cards. But that only happened because I was silly enough to slide the cards directly over the magnet. I should have known better.
I still carry this bag all the time now that I'm back home. After all this time, it still shows barely any wear. I absolutely love it and plan to carry it for a long time.

Perfect purse!
I bought this purse because my name is Clare! I love it! I have gotten so many compliments when I wear it! The strap is super comfortable on the shoulder. It holds everything I need and I need a lot of stuff! Definitely one of my favorite Vera Bradley pieces!

It has lots of space and room and if you look at it you would think it small. I can fit so much stuff in it. This is a must have!!!

BEST PURSE EVER, but....
I absolutely love my Clare. She's beautiful and the perfect size. I get compliments on her wherever I go, and she is in the print Very Berry Paisley. I can fit a small notebook (I am an aspiring write & always need paper nearby# a 31 soft wallet, a VB clip zip id, a VB coin purse, a VB kisslock manicure set, a travel tissue pack, a travel sized hair brush & mirror combo, and an EOS lip balm in the main compartment. In the side pocket I can pit a pair of earbuds, a lipgloss, a pen, some gun, and some hand crème. In the small pocket I carry a hand sanitizer from BBW. In the front slip pocket I usually slide my iPhone 4s there. I don't keep anything in the front magnet pocket except for gum wrappers and trash and stuff like that. If I have to, I can also fit my iPad mini inside of the VB eReader case, which pushed the purse to it's maximum hold in my opinion. I have carried the Clare on many adventures and I love the cross body OR handbag style this purse offers!
However, there are a few things I would change about this purse. I wish she had a back zipper pocket like the Lizzy does. That would make carrying little odds and ends easier, and keep valueable things closer to your body. I also #more a personal thing) wish the front magnetic pocket had an ID window, like the Lizzy.
Overall this is a great purse & the most perfect size! Any bigger it would be too big, any smaller it would be too small! Take it from a VB addict that this is the best purse they offer, better than the Hipster!

Love this STYLE!
I'm so happy with this style and am hoping it will stay around for a long time.
Just switched to my new Camellia and am loving how light it is. All my essentials fit in it easily and it is crossbody just in case I need to make it easier to carry (long walk, etc.).

My new "daily essentials" bag
I now have 3 of these bags, and would consider more! I love a nice crossbody bag, and this one looks great. It looks small, but holds a lot. In it right now I have: Kiss and Snap wallet, small cosmetic, iphone(with snap on case) VB readers in readers case, sunglasses in cloth bag, checkbook and keys. I love it for shopping and running errands.

Clare
I thought this purse would work for me but it didn't. Was disappointed in the lack of "flat area" in the bottom. I guess the rounded bottom corners are supposed to expand but there seems to be a lot of material bunched up there. Needs zippered pockets inside and a large one on the outside back. Anything put in the open interior pockets ends up slipping out. Will have to return.

Here Fishy, Fishy. . .
If you like to fish, then Clare is the purse for you! The overall lack of interior pockets makes for the ultimate fishing-through-your-purse experience. There are only two interior pockets, one is narrower than the other. The larger of the two can fit a pocket sized notepad or a Vera Bradley coin purse. The smaller is perfect for pens or eye-glasses (if they aren't in a case). There are two pockets on the front of the purse, one slip and one magnetic. The slip pocket is nice for a cell phone, and both front pockets can easily hold a Vera Bradley coin purse, but not at the same time.
Overall, I love this bag. It rides nicely as a cross-body or an over-the-shoulder bag, It is comfortable, although if it is very full, it can be a bit awkward, due to the 4in. or so depth. Clare can hold a ton of stuff, but you will be fishing for things. For instance, I can fit my journal, Kindle Fire in its case, four Vera Bradley coin purses full of various items, pens, hand sanitizer, Vera Bradley eye glass case, mini sunscreen and lotion, and a lot of other little nick-nacks. However, if my Chapstick decides to take a vacation to the inner depths of the purse, I will have to fish for it. With all that said, though, I highly recommend this purse. it's a keeper!

Great on the go
I just purchased this the other day, wanted something that was a good mommy on the go bag. I was loving the Tutti Frutti pattern and the fact this could be worn crossbody style which is just perfect for me. I love the two other pockets I keep keys, cell phone and package of kleenex in there. The inside is a large compartment I can carry my full size wallet small cosmetic purse, treats, baby wipes.
I would buy more in other colors of this bag and would recommend it hold alot and is comfortable to carry, doesn't look out of shape if packed full.

My best friend and I bought these for each other for our birthdays in early March. We both love how much of our "mess" (as we call it!) from our other purses we can fit in it! That was our main concerned but this purse is roomie without looking chunky.
The other thing, which I LOVE, is the width and softness of the strap. Being a crossbody, it sometimes pulls on the wrong spot of your shoulder and hurts, but this purse doesn't hurt.
I would definitely recommend this to absolutely anyone.
