Messenger Bag Rocks!! I used this bag through a 6 week vacation and can't say enough good stuff about it! It holds as much or as little as you want. The two under-flap pockets held my cell phone and a notepad and pen and camera all the time; so all I had to do was change what was inside to make it a light for those long days sightseeing was take things out of the main bag. That worked especially well because I stored things in the Vera Trio bags. Love it so much I am buying another for a friend's birthday! August 10, 2014
Messenger I really like the messenger when I travel, cause it holds my iPad, a book, and a little hipster. It fits nicely under the seat without things falling out . The padded shoulders trap is comfortable and handy when you have to carry another bag or suitcase. The front zippers are handy to put charger cords in, inside pockets are great for pens, glasses, etc., and back zipper pocket is great to hold phone and small things. If you bring it back revised, a front or side zipper pocket to hold phone would be great! July 10, 2014
Just needs a top handle I bought this bag to carry my "stuff" while driving my scooter. I love the adjustable strap, but find myself wanting to grab a handle to pick it up before slinging it over my shoulder, or just to move it from one spot to another. May 24, 2014
BRING BACK THE MESSENGER! in the new colors! I love this bag! I have had the messenger bag for over three years use it to carry my laptop and everything I need for work to and from NYC everyday. It's light and carries a laptop, wallet, keys, travel mug, makeup bag plus much much more! So great for commuting! Wanted to replace it with a new of the same style only to see they are only making a baby bag version. SO SAD! Bring back the Messenger! May 23, 2014
Not as good as the old one! I have several of the old model messengers and decided to try the new one in a new pattern. Here are the pros and cons I found. CONS: interior sturdy back pockets lost- replaced with THIN material strip organizer that holds less than 1/3 of previous items due to compartment narrowness and shallowness, exterior pockets(front) MUCH smaller that previous gusseted pockets, outside side pockets removed (they were great for little juice bottles) instead of enhanced, PROS: exterior front pockets are easier access with flap closed, New hardware seems more durable. Carries a lot of items I'm no longer a student but decided on this bag because I still carry a lot of items on a daily basis. I chose the messenger bag in Limes up because of the size, interior pockets, color and cheerfulness of the bag. It does carries a lot and isn't too heavy when I have it loaded. Love the cushioned strap. My main problems with the bag are with the clasp and interior pockets. The clasp is rather awkward and can be difficult at times to engage. My issue with the pockets is that if the bag is not completely full, items will fall out of the interior pockets when the bag slips over. I seem to spend a lot of time digging pens out of the bottom of my bag. All in all, I like Messenger, however, I'm going to keep looking for my "go to" bag. March 19, 2014
Messenger ME! I needed to replace my old bookbag of 7 years. I'm an older college student and I don't live on campus, so I just switch my books out. This is so perfect! Holds like 2 average size math books, 2 notebooks, my wallet, and more! I love the zippered angle pockets on the front. I use it to keep my keys and nomentionables in. It's so pretty that I don't want to put pens in the pen holders. So now I have to order a brush and pencil to keep those items in, but at least it will fit! Ew EW Ew, don't forget the awesome padded strap. In LOVE with this Messenger. I hope they don't get rid of this style. Would love to buy another in the upcoming Flutterby in summer 2014! I LOVE this bag! I have this bag in an older design (it just has two buckle closures instead of one) in the pattern Java Blue. I love this bag! It can hold my 15" laptop, my biology textbook and notebook, pens/pencils, and any other small items that would normally be in a bag (gum, phone, earbuds, etc). This bag is perfect for the college student who just has a couple of classes, or even for travel! February 14, 2014
Love this bag The messenger bag I have does not have the interior pockets or the zip pockets under the flap. Mine is plain inside accept for a zipper pocket which holds my pens. I have 2 books, file folders, wallet, 1 pair of reading glasses, 6" x 9" note pad, and a bottle of water in the main compartment. The under the flap open pockets holds my smart phone in one and kleenex in the other. The long zipper under the flap holds my Kindle Fire. The back pocket is handy for my car keys and sunglasses. I really like that I can keep all these items organized. The bag is cardboard stiff so everything stays in place. February 2, 2014
Redesign is horrible The messenger bag has gone through two "redesigns" over the past few years. This one is horrible. The full length interior zipper was completely removed and nothing was put in its place so the back wall of the bag has no compartments or pockets. The two large front pockets were replaced with tiny almost faux pockets. The strap is thinner and more uncomfortable. It doesn't fit the legal pads the way it used to (smaller?) and there aren't nearly enough pockets or compartments to store anything. If you just want a huge floppy bag with no compartments this will work. But forget about using it as a real messenger bag. They should change the name. January 29, 2014
