Magnetic button closure has ripped off
After 5 months of gentle use, the magnetic button closure has ripped off. Its almost like the magnets are too strong, making the bag difficult to open and putting too much stain on the buttons. This was my first Vera Bradley bag and I am certainly not impressed by the poor quality. It's not big enough to be a school tote..You might be able to put a tablet in it, but it's not big enough for books, binders, etc. I use it as a handbag. It doesn't have any inside zipper compartments and no zipper top so things are always falling out of it.

Amazing Bag for School!
When my old Tote was getting old, I decided to get a new bag that was bigger. This bag was it! But when I went to the store, it looked pretty small, and I was wondering how I would hold anything in it. But when I put my supplies in it, it fit everything I needed for the first half of the school day! I could've put more in if I wanted to! Get this bag!

Much to my surprise---I LOVE IT!
I am not a fan of rolled handles. I prefer a zipper closure. For those two reasons I did not consider ordering a Campus Tote when they made their debut but I was tempted by the 50% at the outlets. I caved and ordered and I LOVE IT. The rolled handles stay on the shoulder, the magnetic closure is secure to the point that I have had to tug on it to open the bag. I love the large inside slips. The outer side pockets are perfect for my sunglasses, keys, phone. I am so pleased with the Campus Tote that I now own 5 of them....and I see a few more in my future.....

TOO SMALL TO BE A TOTE
I bought this tote to carry around stuff for my sons' baseball games like sunscreen lotion, hand sanitizer, camera, insect repellant, hand lotion, a water bottle, sunglasses, pocket tissue, a small first aid kit and some small snacks like bars. Not really that much stuff and stuff that should be able to fit in a reasonably sized tote. The campus tote was already full before I was able to fit everything in. I like bags with a lot of pockets. This tote only had two on the inside and two on the outside on the sides. When I put a full water bottle on either side, the bag tips over, so I had to put the water bottle inside the bag. The outside pockets weren't deep enough, so the sunscreen lotion sticks out. I like my things hidden. The inside was fairly small. It's too small to be a tote. It's more like a 'big' purse for those who like big purses.

Compliment-Getter Work Tote
Very pleased with the Campus Tote in Very Berry Paisley as my pretty and functional work tote. The two outside pockets securely accommodate an umbrella and office keys in one pocket, and a SubZero 25oz water thermos in the other pocket. The Lunch Date fits nicely inside the tote (especially if I load it in before the thermos) and I still have room for a shrug or cardigan and small miscellaneous items. The bag stands upright on it's own and the handles drop out of the way for easy access into the tote. There are two final points I would add for your consideration: (1) The magnetic closure does not close with tall or bulky items (such as my daily gear). And (2) there are two inside slip pockets, but this would have earned 5 stars if there were a zip pocket instead of one of the slip pockets, especially given that the magnetic closure is not very secure.

I bought this bag as a birthday gift to myself today and already I'm in love with it!! I LOVE the outer pockets for easy storage for my phone or keys. The inside is nice and roomy with pockets to hold "grab fast" items, like gum or sunglasses. I'm buying one for my friend as a gift as she thought mine was beautiful. This is my new, favorite bag!!

I want the pleated tote back!
The handles on my pleated tote were finally going, I use it everyday for the past.. 2 maybe 3 years and I was looking for a replacement. Unfortunately this is not it. It's just too small. It doesn't have a zipper which is apparently a deal breaker for me. The pockets just aren't big enough. I'm going to replace the handles on my pleated tote instead of buying a new bag.

Perfect for me!
I was hesitant to buy this because of the lack of zipper but glad I did. I'm a high school teacher and needed a bag that would be able to accommodate for my professional and personal belongings and this did it! I can easily fit my ipad, laptop with charger, lunch bag, and a 1inch binder. The deep pockets inside allow me to put my wallet, Chapstick and other small items. I love the outside pockets! It fits my water bottle and /or coffee thermos. Also, my ID and keys can fit in the outside pockets so I'm not digging for classroom keys in the bag. I thought I would need the top to be zippered but found that the items are secure enough to stay with only the magnetic closure. When not used for school/work, I use it to carry diapers, wipes, and baby essentials for my two year old son and 7 mos. old. I got the very berry paisley and it is more beautiful than in the picture. Definitely very versatile for my needs. This is my second VB bag and I absolutely love it! Btw, I'm 5' and it doesn't look huge on me.

Not really a tote
I would not consider this a tote nor would I consider it the type of bag you could really use on campus. It's actually quite small - my purse is bigger than this. I did refer to the dimensions before ordering it but it is still much smaller than anticipated and, to me, definitely not worth the price. I had read some of reviews that stated similar thoughts but I thought I would give it a try because a lot of people seemed to love it and it worked for their needs. I'm not sure what you could tote around in it. I knew it wouldn't be for heavy duty use but I did think it would be kind of a mid size tote for lighter days. I'm just kind of disappointed...

It's no pleated tote
Please bring back the pleated tote! This is no substitution for it! The side pockets don't fit a water bottle well, the lack of pleats means a lack of space, the lack of zipper means my belongings aren't secure, and the rolled handles hurt! As it is, I'm trying to figure out how I can make my own pleated tote in lilli bell by purchasing some aprons or something!!
