Great purse for a senior
New to Vera Bradley, bought the Whitney purse in Plum Crazy. Am 65+ and love the color and style. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to new sales.

I was so interested in this bag but once I got it, it's much to small for what I carry daily

Love this purse!
I have been collecting Vera Bradley bags now since 2003, and I have to say the Whitney is my favorite purse yet, and I'm terribly disappointed that it's being discontinued. It holds and organizes everything I'd ever want to carry with me, yet looks sleek and dressy even when full. I attribute that to the side pockets NOT going all the way down - that was a brilliant style design to keep this bag from becoming triangular and bottom heavy. Another reviewer mentioned that the inside small pockets could be quilted, and I agree - that would be the only change I'd make to this purse, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm so sad to see this one go, after such a short time available.

Perfect size handbag!
I love the size of the Whitney, even more so after I brought it home. I chose Ellie Blue and after close inspection, love the length straps. It fits ccomfortably under my arm and the straps stay flat on my shoulder. I think the piping around the bag makes it look well made and the three zipper compartments add to the organization. I agree that they should've quilted the inside pockets but i know that the Chain bags wasn't either. That is why I didn't give the Whitney 5 stars.

The pattern
I absolutly HATE the pattern camila. It is the WORST! the purse though, its good. just go with what pattern you like.

Too small
I love the style of this bag. However, I ordered it online and when I got it, it was much too small. I bought it for all the pockets and such, but I can hardly use it because of the size.

Straps too short
I love the design of this purse and all the pockets inside. However, the straps are too short, i would totally love this purse if it had at least a 12" strap drop.

Functional and neat
I bought this bag after buying the Side by Side which was too big for my needs.i gt Mocha Rouge and t's gorgeous!! Even my husband thinks its the prettiest purse I've had. The side pocket is perfect for my Accordion Wallet and the middle hold a fully stuffed VB medium cosmetic bag and mini hairspray, scope, lotion and a Tide to go with room to spare. The other side zipper pocket will be great for pens and the outer pocket hold my cell phone and keys really well. Definitely getting addicted toVB.

Complete Disappointment
The description of this purse is very misleading. It might be great for organization if you don't have a lot to organize. It was way too small and I especially didn't like how two of the pockets didn't extend to the bottom of the purse. It may have extra pockets but it isn't any help if you can hardly put anything in them. If you're looking for something that you can organize all your accessories: wallet, hand sanitizer, miniature planner, gum...just to name a few things i tried to cram into the purse, then this is not the one for you. Look for something much bigger.
