Fits Alot! I just bought this bag in the new Limes Up color this week just because I knew I wanted this bag! I am travelling this weekend and have it all packed up to take as a carry on for my flight. So far I have packed 4 tops, 1 pair of pajamas, 1 pair of pants, 1 swimsuit, 2 pairs of shoes, and there is still room for a pair of jeans, my blowdryer, VB large cosmetic bag, and my hair straightener with VB cover, plus room for a book and snacks in the outside pockets! I know this will definitely fit in an overhead compartment and probably under the seat too. So far I think I have more in this bag than my normal wheeled carry on! The shoulder strap is comfy, and it's not even too heavy to carry around when it's completely packed full. Love this bag already! I think I will get this bag for my mom for Mother's Day... Such a great purchase!! I am a college student and I have been looking at this bag and the Grand Traveler for such a long time and was debating between the two. When it went on sale, I couldn't resist. I ordered it in the va va bloom pattern and it is gorgeous! Plus, it is so much bigger than I expected! It is so perfect for all my weekends home. Very nice bag for traveling! I got this bag from my gramma in my favorite Vera patter, Vava Bloom. I am very happy with it! For me, it can fit up to five days worth of outfits, plus my bulky toiletry bag. I use this bag as a carry- on for flying, along with my Vera tote also in Vava Bloom. It has many great pockets on the inside, along with a couple zip- up pockets on the outside perfect for boarding passes or other papers. I took off the large strap, just because there is no way i can hold the weight of it on my shoulder. Overall, this is a very nice bag. April 8, 2013

Perfect For My Travel Needs I purchased the Weekender in Plum Petals for a weekend class reunion and was amazed that it held EVERYTHING. Have used it several times since for 4-5 day trips, and will use it as a carry on when I go to visit family in California for 10 days. I also plan to pop it into my suitcase this summer when I travel to Europe for side trips. In addition to being roomy enough to fit all my clothing and toiletries, the incredible pockets take care of chargers, shoes, other small items, and my E-reader (same pattern for the E-reader cover). This bag is much more than I expected. It's not bulky, and it's easy to handle on a train or in an airport. Looking forward to avoiding the dreaded luggage carousel. It's perfect for my needs. Can't say enough about the Weekender! I have always wanted a nice weekend bag and decided that the impending birth of my 4th child was a pretty great reason to treat myself to a cute bag once and for all! I wanted something that would keep all of my things organized while in the hospital, and of course It had to look great too. I scoured the internet and came across the Vera Bradley website. Living in the south, of course I knew about VB, but I had never owned any VB bags. After reading the great reviews, I ordered the Weekender and the Get Carried Away Tote in Night and Day. When the bags arrived, I was amazed at the quality and how much cuter they were in person! So, naturally I ordered the Medium Makeup Bag, Cooler, Ditty Bag, Zip ID, Tablet Sleeve and Baby Bag to round out my hospital ensemble! ;) I delivered in late December so I packed heavier clothes; two pair of thick yoga-style pants, two hoodie sweatshirts, two tanks, a long sleeved top, under things, and plenty of socks. Also, the Medium Makeup Bag, a notebook, Bible, glasses case, and various larger toiletry items. Everything fit perfectly! What I love about this bag is that it can hold so much, yet not look bulky and awkward! The pockets are amazing. I used them to hold my socks, bras, contacts and contact solution, and spray shampoo so that I would have quick access to them and they wouldn't get lost in the bottom of the bag. When we got to our room, my husband made the silly mistake of trying to hide my bag away in one of those cubby closet things. I jokingly asked him to please set it on the shelf so that every one who walked it could admire my beautiful bag! Haha. Ok, I was only half joking. And he did move it to the shelf. And everyone did admire my bag!! I got so many questions and compliments. :) I love this bag so much that I ordered two more as Christmas gifts for my mom and step-mom. They were a huge hit! I plan to buy two more for my 11 and 12 year old daughters. I think this bag makes an incredible gift, and would be an especially unexpected and special gift for a mom-to-be! First Vera Bradley, not the last This bag is amazing. I have it in VA VA Bloom and I just LOVVVVE it! It's a fantastic carry on bag because it stands out and there's no way you'd lose sight of it. I used it as a hospital bag when I had my baby and I received several complimnets from the nurses. It's beautiful and functional. I just purchased the round the way tote and the medium cosmetic bag. I'm relatively new to Vera Bradley, so I'm slowly building up my collection. I love mine so much that I just bought one for my mom in a different print for mother's day. I know she will love it! Nice travel bag I bought the Weekender for a two-day, one-night trip to NYC. I knew I'd have to carry my bag in the city before catching my bus home, so I wanted something less obtrusive than a duffel bag. I bought mine in Indigo Pop at a VB outlet. The Weekender worked well for a short trip. For me personally, it is more like a larger overnight bag than a weekend bag. I packed the absolute minimum and the bag was full. However, because of the cushy shape, it holds a lot and the large pockets help to maintain organization. I packed two outfits, pajamas, undergarments, toiletries, a hair straightener in the VB case, my iPad and charger, phone charger, the VB lunch date, and a few odds and ends. I kept my travel itinerary and tickets in the flat zip pocket on the outside. The two front slip pockets held snacks and items I wanted easy access to while on the bus. I love that the bag has two zippers at the top because it creates a larger opening. I also was able to place a small lock on the zippers. While shopping and dining in the city before I left, I was able to pack my Little Hipster into the Weekender as well as some small purchases I made. During this time, I carried the bag across my body and it definitely felt heavier the longer I walked (the padded shoulder strap on the newer version would have made a world of difference!). All in all, the Weekender is a great travel bag. Besides the padded strap the newer version has, I would add feet to the bottom because I had to put my bag on the ground a few times. March 18, 2013

Under rated beautiful weekender There are not enough stars for me to rate this bag. On an emergency trip for a funeral this bag was perfect for a week trip. Not only did I save on not having to pay check in fees because this bag fits with ease over head and under my seat on the plane. I was able to fit a dress, 1 pair of dress shoes,1 pair of sneakers,1PR sandals,two pairs of jeans,5 tops ,2 swim suits 2 shorts,2 pajamas, undergarments a book ,my iPad and a grand cosmetic filled with full size items plus a medium cosmetic filled with makeup. The inside pocket was perfect for my chargers slim camera ,shoes and medication. The strap was very comfortable crossbody running through the airport and the zip pocket on the outside was perfect for my ticket ,boarding pass and passport plus my slim wallet. Not to mention the many beautiful compliments I received on the bag. Once I arrived I threw it in the washing machine air dried it and it was brand new minus traveling germs. I couldn't have been happier with this beautiful,well made practical not to mention my new best friend weekender in Paisley meet plaid. Thank you Vera Bradley. March 16, 2013

Perfect for a weekend away Bought this for a weekend trip to go visit a friend in NYC and it was perfect. I have both a Get Carried Away Tote and a Large Duffel that I absolutely love, but needed something that I could wear crossbody on the subway and while walking around before I could drop it off at my friend''s apartment and this didn't disappoint. I was able to fit pajamas, a change of clothes, an extra jacket, extra socks, my hair straightener and my cosmetic bag (with little room to spare, but since it was all winter clothes I expected this). The outside pocket held some plastic bags and a book for the bus ride. I can't wait to use this in the summer when my clothes aren't as heavy/bulky. March 8, 2013

Nice quality travel bag! I recently bought this bag when I was in need of a cute, nice quality larger duffle to carry my things to a camp. I was definitely surprised of how much it could hold! I easily fit a towel, sheets, blanket, shoes and clothes! The bag is truly a great purchase that lives up to its good reputation! The removable cardboard piece in the bottom made it super easy to clean and the long strap rests comfortably on the shoulder. This could easily be my best VB purchase yet! February 14, 2013
