Great for larger laptops but has some downsides I really wanted a laptop portfolio to carry my laptop to and from class while in college. I had received this laptop portfolio in the Barcelona pattern as a Christmas gift last year. At first, I was quite excited because my laptop fit comfortably in the portfolio with some room to spare even (I have an HP Elitebook. I'm pretty sure it is 16.5"). This laptop portfolio has a zippered pocket on one side and a non-zippered pocket on the other. I am able to fit my computer charger in the non-zippered pocket but it is a tight squeeze to get the charger in the pocket. Also, I like to use a mouse with my laptop and that is hard to squeeze into the pockets as well because they don't stretch out very far. I enjoy that this laptop portfolio can be carried either by the handles or an adjustable shoulder strap. However, it does get to be heavy and it digs into my shoulder a bit when I am carrying it. It would have been nice if Vera Bradley put a padded shoulder strap on this laptop portfolio, I think that would easily solve the problem. Otherwise, I really enjoy this product. After using it for a year, mine is still in excellent shape. September 23, 2011
Love This..but I have two of these portfolios. One in Boysenberry and the other in Happy Snails... these are two of my favorite patterns!! I have the 17.3 inch HP dv6 in one which fits perfectly, and then for my school computer i have the 17 inch macbook. Removing the divider completley offers up a lot more space, and also the portfolio better fits thin computers. Dell computers are fairly thick, which is why most of the reveiwers on here have had problems with the case fitting their Dell computers. The HP and Macbook are very thin in comparison which is why even though the HP laptop is 17.3 inches it still fits because its not as bulky. December 18, 2011
very excited! I needed a case for my 17.3'' laptop. I was scared this cute Vera one would not fit because it said it fits up to a 17''. I went to the store and tried my laptop in it to make sure before I bought it and I was very excited when it fit in there and zipped up with only just a little bit of the corner showing. I found it easiest if you put the battery end toward the back and the opening of the laptop toward you. It does fit very snugly but I am just happy it fits at all. :) September 18, 2011
