Our stylish Metropolitan bag is organization on the go. Store your laptop (up to 15"*) in the padded sleeve inside, where there is also plenty of room for folders and notebooks. A front compartment holds pens, your ID and small items while a zippered pocket on the back is great for a wallet or planner. For the true jet setter, a rear open slip pocket allows the bag to slide over the handle of your rolling luggage and go along for the ride. *Laptops are measured on a diagonal, from the bottom corner of one side of the screen to the upper corner of the other.

Perfect !!!!
Ordered this in the Watercolor, it's beautiful !! I'm using it for a class I'm taking - holds everything, and in style. iPad fits safely in here too. Why I didn't pick this up sooner, I don't know. Of course pockets everywhere, even the luggage sleeve is a zipped pocket ! Highly recommend this !!!

Favorite Bag
This is so far my favorite Vera Bradley bag. I use it for a purse and love all the different compartments. I also use it for short trips to the store or into town as my son's diaper bag. I am going to purchase this bag in different color for fall/winter, I currently have it in Lemon Parfait. I have had a hard time finding another purse to compete with this one. I highly recommend it, it's so versatile.

Awesome laptop bag
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag!!!! I got it to use for work. It is the perfect size for my small laptop, a notebook, my power cord, and I also do fit a water bottle in there, too. When I first got it I was afraid it would be too small, but looks are deceiving and I am delighted! I love the 2 big pockets outside also. The padded strap is great and that is what I mostly use to carry it. I think it is just the perfect size to tote around for my work, and I am sooooo glad I ordered this instead of the laptop tote which I was considering. I really like the style of this. I got the rhythm and blues pattern which is beautiful.

Needs a water bottle holder
I really hoped I would fall in love with this bag, and I've made it work, but there are a number of changes I would make. I use this as a traveling teacher bag, and it REALLY needs a water bottle holder (a big one for a reusable stainless bottle, not one for teeny plastic bottles). In addition to this bag, I need to carry my lunch, a violin, my coffee mug and my water bottle, and I frequently run out of hands. Love the laptop pocket, but when my computer is in there it only just fits the binders and books I need to carry. It also really needs a ring for hooking my keys so I'm not searching for them with my non-existent hands. The front pocket is okay, would be better if it zipped closed as I have had things fall out occasionally.
This bag is functional enough for now, and I will keep using it until I find something that will serve my needs better, but I wouldn't buy another one.

Favorite Vera Bag
Besides the weekender, this is my favorite Vera. It's perfect for travel or for versatility around town. It carries my laptop perfectly while the cushion pad divider inside adds protection for it, holds a ton of stuff, and is great if you don't want a backpack. Slips nicely and securely over a long handled carry-on luggage to tote along but don't forget that slip area is there or you'll put something there that will slip right through. I like that it holds my computer, a 15" Macbook Pro, horizontally and not vertical like a backpack. The versatility comes in when I use it as a regular purse and may take out my laptop which can make it heavier to lug around although the shoulder strap makes it seem a lot less weighty. This bag with an all-in-one wristlet inside makes it even more versatile- for quick trips in the store, I just take my wristlet out and leave the metropolitan locked in the car. No need to carry in the laptop, books, binder, notes, clipboard, and everything else the metropolitan may have in it for a quick shopping trip.... ordering another soon.

Wonderful laptop bag for school!
I was looking for the best type of bag to carry my laptop in around a college campus. My decision on pattern was easy (I'm a huge fan of Happy Snails) but the bag style came down to this or the laptop book bag. Personally I'm a huge fan of shoulder bags so this won, and I absolutely love this bag. It's been so convenient for carrying my laptop around my college campus, and I was pleased with how much I could fit in the bag itself. The outside pockets are very functional as well, I tended to put writing utensils and notecards in them. The laptop pocket might be snug on larger laptops, but I have a 13in MacBook so it fits just fine. I hope this bag isn't being discontinued, because it's one of my favorites. I highly recommend investing in getting yourself this bag, it's worth it. :).

I love this bag!
I have several Vera Bradley totes. One of my favorites is the Go Round tote. I had looked at the Metropolitan bag online a few times and was curious about it. The shape looks a little awkward to me online, but I took a chance and ordered one anyway. I received my bag yesterday and fell in love with it instantly!!! It is not too big or too small, and I really like all of the compartments and roominess of this bag. It is perfect for the working woman that needs to carry a laptop or iPad and files, etc. It's lightweight and with both rolled handles and a strap, it is easy to carry. I think my favorite part of this bag is the front zippered compartment. It opens up to reveal an ID slot, pen/pencils holders, several pockets and another smaller zippered pocket for important items like flash drives or change. The back pocket is ideal for laptop cords or iPad/iPhone chargers. I plan to order this bag in one additional print. I hope it is not discontinued.

Perfect for travel!
So I'm a teenager, and my life pretty much consists of school and sleepovers and very rarely travel. So last summer I went on a trip to Disney World and came back with this beautiful bag! I took it on the plane and the bag fit my 13" Mac Book Pro perfectly! maybe even with a little bit of room to spare. the straps on all Vera products are amazingly comfortable... The two pockets on the size are even better for when i take the bag to sleepovers and i need to fit deodorant, a brush, chargers etc. I'm considering switching this bag as my school bag since it can fit pretty much everything and it will still be painless. Seriously, I'm in love with this bag. i highly recommend it!

Nice size, but I want more pockets!
I love the size of this bag. I'm a VERY light packer, so the Grand Traveler and Weekender are much too big for me. But this was perfect. The only things I would change are: a zipper all the way across the front pocket (I found things starting to nearly slip out), and more slip pockets. I love the bags that have three slip pockets big enough for phone, wallet, and iPod Touch -- those are perfect. In this one, I just have to drop those things into the main compartment. If this gets updated to something the same size, but with more pockets and a zipper for the front, I'll buy it right away!

Perfect laptop bag for travelers
I love this bag. I will be buying it in other colors before it goes away. I don't understand why it is being discontinued. I travel several times a month for business and often carry two laptops. I can fit both laptops, client presentations, note pads, quart-sized zip lock filled with toiletries for quick security checks at the airport, and my Kindle, plus basic purse contents (wallet, brush, makeup, etc...). To top it all off, it slips right over the handle of my suitcase. Best bag ever!
