For the 10th consecutive year, Vera Bradley was among the more than 50 towering displays of twinkle lights and uniquely themed trimmings at the annual Festival of Trees in Fort Wayne, held at the Historic Embassy Theatre downtown.
Championed by Janielle from Visual Merchandising, the Vera Bradley tree was dedicated to Birchwood, a local care center for patients affected with Alzheimer’s Disease. “[Our Co-founder] Barbara thought an old-fashioned Christmas theme would be nice knowing the tree would eventually be placed there. We focused on motifs from the 1940s, the years the men and women at Birchwood were children,” she said.
“Hand-blown glass ornaments provided that great old-fashioned feel, particularly the adorable Santas and nutcrackers. Venetian Paisley ornaments were used for a modern Vera Bradley touch.”
