We’re thrilled to have Megan B., Indirect Corporate Intern, on the team for the coming weeks. This Butler University gal from Holland, Michigan, has a double major in International Business and Marketing with a minor in Spanish, and heading into the home stretch, her senior year. Megan ran across our internship opportunity while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. During her adventurous semester, she saw seven different countries, with Ireland and London leaving the most favorable impression, before she returned to join our summer program.
Now that she’s back in the States, Megan is finding her footing in our home offices. “I love my internship,” she says. “We get to interact with the different departments, which is so great.” She’s able to entertain her interests in social media and the digital side of marketing, too. While in Fort Wayne, she is staying on the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus with three fellow interns. The crew has weekly dinners and gather to watch – what else – “The Bachelorette.”
“My first Vera Bradley was a coin purse when I was young,” she recalls. “College was when my collection really started to grow. I had to have the Large Duffel, a cosmetic and a Messenger.” Megan describes her campus style as, “comfy but nice.” “Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I wear yoga pants and a hooded sweatshirt, but usually I make an effort.” Her go-to for footwear? “I love Sperry’s because they’re so comfortable!” And a little sparkle never hurt.
Soon it will be time to show her signature style on campus again and, naturally, we had to ask for a peek inside her school bag. “I love Perfectly Puffy for fall and winter,” she says. “The Puffy Messenger is my favorite. It fits my laptop and text books, and the little pad on the shoulder strap keeps me comfortable when I have a long day on campus.”
The crossbody conveniently holds all of her essentials: A Neoprene Laptop Sleeve, laptop, Notebook with Pocket, Flexi Pocket Folders, sticky notes, Travel Mug, Student Agenda, books, Gel Pens, Heart Nail File, All In One Wristlet and her phone. And as far as the hue you’ll see this senior toting, “I love Heather, with the purple and green together. It’s perfect.”
