The crowd went wild for his playful, lively hustle, one of ten outstanding performances from the impressive crop of local celebrities. While our dancer did not make it to the final round of the competition, it was an extremely successful evening for the community and The Carriage House program.

“I just want to thank all of you who helped and cheered me on in person or in spirit,” Dave said. “Dancing with the Fort Wayne Stars put me out of my comfort zone, but when I heard [a woman from The Carriage House] speak about her personal journey, it made me realize that dancing in front of 1,000 people isn’t that hard … (well a little bit).”

Alexander Wilson, the Executive Director of The Carriage House, estimates this year’s event will net approximately $180,000 for the cause.

“The Carriage House is honored by the support and generosity of Vera Bradley at Dancing with the Fort Wayne Stars. Dave was an absolute joy to work with. His time, energy and compassion made him amongst the best stars we have ever had!” Wilson said.

Congratulations to all of the participants at this year’s Dancing with the Fort Wayne Stars event.
