I am forty, I like your bags too. I also am the one that decides what to buy for my teenage kid. Are you planning tomarket to us at all any time soon. I know I am not alone when I say the new campaigns and styles you have been running, make me feel like I don’t count. Growing old sucks.

    • MoriahN says:

No, it doesn’t! Growing old means you’ve lived life!
And about Vera Bradley supposedly marketing to only teenagers, really!? You cannot tell me that at all! VB does a great job of creating bags and patterns for every age! My daughter(who is 16) and I (at age 47), wear the same patterns! But if you think these bags are still too young for you, than take your business (and your comments) some place else!

Vera is releasing their fall collection in two flights. The first release, which we are now seeing, is obviously being aimed at the “back to school” crowd. (Remember, “back to school” can be plenty applicable for adults, too. I, myself, am a teacher, and there are plenty of adult college students.) The second release, which I believe we will be seeing in a month or two (it’s been a while since I read up on it, so my memory is a bit hazy), features 3 or 4 additional patterns and a handful of new styles. I’ve previewed the patterns in the second release and I have to say that, by far, I enjoyed them infinitely more than these three new patterns.

So, no worries, Vera is not ignoring their older patrons. They’re just jumping on the “back to school” bandwagon at the moment, and I really can’t blame them. Stick around for the rest of the fall collection to be released!

Oh thanks for your post. I’m 40 and thought I was the only Paisley Meets Plaid adult fan. I bought one and was considering exchanging it because it may have been to young for me.

Not at all liking the new patterns, I think they need some new designers! Btw, I have been collecting VB bags since 1987..and I have at least 30 or so~

I got my first Vera bag in the mid 1990′s. Am now 68 and still love the bags. I also bought my daughter her first bag in 1999 to take to college. Now she
has a closet full of Vera bags!

I absolutely ADORE these new bags. The campus backpack is by far my fav, would love to get it!!! Giveaway?!?!?!? Hmmmm….. I wish! Are there any giveaways right now going on??? Dont want to miss one! And will Vera ever make phone cases for other phones?? My poor android is feeling very bare!!!!!

  • Maddie Y. says:

I love all the new patterns! I agree that Vera is gearing this release towards students, but that doesn’t mean other people can’t like it! I at first didn’t like the patterns, but the Indigo Pop is growing on me!
