We have visitors who come for the sale, then sit and knit with us at knitting today. So much fun seeing their new purchases and helping then fill their bags with yarn!

  • Lori says:

Looks like fun times. We can’t wait to come.

  • Angi says:

  • ANY RECOMENDATIONS FOR EITHER CLEAN ,NEW HOTELS OR BAND B,S CLEAN AND NOT EXPENSIVE? DO WE NEED TO RENT A CAR OR IS THEIR PUBLIC TRANSPARTATION?? SAFE?? MY DAUGHTER AND I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SHOP AT THE OUTLET SALES,HOWEVER,LIVING IN SOUTH FLORIDA IS NOT A WALK ACROSS THE STREET..SOO I WOULD LOVE SOME IDEAS FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE AS WELL AS I KNOW A DUMB QUESTION HOWEVER,IS IT WORTH THE COST TO GO???LOL THANKU ALL FOR ANY HELP…

    • Marylee Long says:

Hi Carrie! I live in Ft. Wayne, and have attended all of their sales. Yes, it is definitely worthwhile if you are a Vera fan. If you are flying into the city, I would suggest that you rent a car at the air port. We have some bus and trolly transportation, as well as taxis. However, the schedules and stops are very ‘iffy’. You will find the best hotels SW of the city, and along Washington Center Rd. I have a feeling the good hotels close to the Coliseum are probably booked up at this point. Ft. Wayne is a pretty safe city. However, you need to take care when going places late at night as in any city. If you are a shopper, you may want to take on Glenbrook Mall about 1/2 mile down the road, or the Jefferson Pt. Shopping Center SW of town. You will also find lots of restaurants on Coliseum Blv., in the vicinity of the Coliseum. Hope you come and enjoy our city! MARYLEE

      • Alena says:

Just how good are the prices?? I’m not bringing $3500, the limit, but what kind of discount do they offer?

    • Ellen Wilson says:

      Carrie,
About a 40 minute drive from Ft. Wayne, IN is a wonderful small town motel: Beecher’s Den in Hicksville, Ohio 419-542-8913

The sale is definitely worth the trip! I have friends that have been going since Vera’s first show. Be prepared to drop a lot of money though! The school PTO in Hicksville, Oh tends to stock up at the sale, then uses the purses as one of the prizes at the annual carnival!

    • Hello Carrie,
Hotel Fort Wayne is less than two miles from the Memorial Coliseum; and we have the Vera Bradley group rate of $94.00. Bring your swimming suit, we have both heated pool and jacuzzi bath, 24 hour Fitness Center, Red River Restaurant, Complimentary (24) hour Business Center; and Concierge Lounge!

  • Matt says:

I never knew Ft. Wayne had so much to do, I haven’t been there much, but I remember as a kid going to the mall with the ice staking rink, so cool

  • Barb Eimer says:

I have lived in Fort Wayne for much of my life and the VB gang has put together a very complete list of things to do and places to eat. I have eaten at almost all of these places and they are all really spectacular and/or fun. I would maybe also include the Casa restaurants as it’s family owned and their Casaburo salads are AWESOME. (There is one right across the street from the coliseum.)

I live in Nashville now and am STILL coming back for the sale. Also, if you can hit Debrand’s chocolates you will NOT be disappointed. They are the best!

  • Jennifer says:

This is our second year going to the Vera Sale and it is sooo very worth it. I picked up our hotel room on Hotels.com and found the Holiday Inn Express to be the best for the price….our countdown till we leave Buffalo, NY has begun…see you ladies ( and gentlemen) in a few days and may you all have a safe and enjoyable trip!!

  • Diane says:

also I never got tieckets in the mail but have registered and have the copy of the tickets ordered and charged…do we get tickets in the mail for the sessions we purchased?

  • Jennifer says:

A group of three of us would like to take the DeBrand Chocolate (the chocolate above recommended by Vera) tour at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. To do that, we would need a group of 12, so we are looking for nine (or more) people who might be interested in joining us, so that we may take the tour. Email me me at jdhershberger@gmail.com if you would like to join this group. Thanks!

  • Deborah says:

Thank you! This was so nice of you! It gives me a chance to plan the day a little better!

  • Morgan madden says:
