D.I.Y. Wednesday: Decorative Candles

It’s Wednesday, and we’re back and feeling craftier than ever! Product Development intern Erin, from our New York office, has supplied a fresh batch of pretty, repurposed projects you’re going to love, so without further adieu, let’s d.i.y., shall we?

D.I.Y. Decorative Candles

Decorative Candles

SuppliesWhat you’ll need:
i heart eco Calendar, tea light, double-stick tape, ruler, scissors and a pencil

The rest is easy as one, two, three …

DIY Decorative Candles1. Tear out a page of your calendar and measure about 3/4 inch in from the eyelet border. Make a mark with your pencil and repeat on the other end of the paper. Draw a line, horizontally, connecting the two dots and cut along that line.

2. Wrap the strip around your tea light. Make a mark where the paper overlaps, allowing about a 1/2 inch of extra paper. Use your scissors to cut off the extra paper and place double-stick tape on the overlapping area. Wrap around the candle and press firmly.

3. Light the candle and enjoy!

Disclaimer: Paper is flammable! Please be extremely careful when lighting these candles and never leave them unattended.
