  • Sachie says:

Just a suggestion to everyone out there. Instead or purchasing gift bags, I use reuseable totes as the gift bags.

  • Sonya Anderson says:

I use re-useable bags everyday. To incorporate something new, we are recycling at work!

  • Joan Maurer says:

I ride my bike instead of driving to the store and always carry a reusable bag.

  • Trish says:

    Love it, Need it !!

  • Trish Shoemaker says:

I am not only being earth friendly but I am getting very stylish, and so is my 86 year old mother who I take shopping every Thursday. She says that it makes her feel like a movie star when she leaves the grocery store. I like them because they have long handles and they make it easier to carry and put more in. The colors are fabulous and I wouldn’t go shopping anywhere without them. Say goodbye to plastic and paper bags and say a big HELLO to VERA BRADLEY TOTES!

  • Doris Kressly says:

I took my circle handled tote to the dedication of our medicinal garden http://www.northampton.edu/Northampton-NOW/Tribute-Garden-Dedication-2011Marks-Fourth-Year-of-Growth.htm Seeing the idea go to a ground breaking at Earth Day 2010, then to this, was NEAT!

  • Joann Bally says:

For Earth Day 2011, I do everything that I normally do all year around since I am the biggest “green” person I know :)
I always take my own bags to the any store (some stores give you a discount for doing that) I took my re-useable mud to Starbucks for tea, I took all of my cosmetics and skincare empties to origins (which I do all year around)
The best part is I had more in my recycling bin than my regular trash. The recycling guys gave me a compliment that he wished all my neighbors cared as much as I do about recycling and keeping the bin organized. I LOVE earth day so much but I do things to help keep the Earth “green” at least 3 times per day. Most people think I am silly for collecting and savings recycling from work just to being mom :)
I wish everyone would recycle and reuse as much as possible not only for freebies or Earth Day for for themselves and especially for Mother Earth !!!

    Thank You
    xoxo

  • I love the Viva la Vera pattern! Would match my Alice Handbag.

  • Ashley Rosenberg says:

On Earth Day I planted lettuce, basil, tomatoes, cucumbers, marigolds, bluebells, tulips, and daffodils. I also took a short shower, rode my bike in the park, drank water in the park using a reusable water bottle, put out our bins for recycling where the truck picks them up, went grocery shopping for my mom using reusable bags, and ate an organic lunch. I would love to win this bag because I could carry my groceries in style while being green. :)

  • Allison Black says:

I like to use the Re-usable shopping bags, recycle cans and bottles, clean the yard, and limit amount of trash being thrown away.

  • Angel says:

Earth Day is not a day to celebrate once a year. It should be celebrated everyday of the year! In our house, we do this by recycling our papers, plastics and cans as well as using reusable shopping or tote bags when we do any type of shopping. Its one small way to help keep the earth healthy. =)

  • Andrea R. says:

So cute! I always take reusable shopping bags to the store.

  • Toni says:

Every morning I get my travel mug refilled at the coffee shop, then I slip it into my recycled/reusable shopping tote–and I walk to work. Earth Day is every day for me.

  • Lisa says:

How fitting! I was just thinking of getting new Vera bags to replace my ripped grocery bags!

I celebrate Earth Day everyday. I only use my refillable Tervis mugs for water and coffee and have recently started car pooling and walking more when possible for cleaner air. I am also teaching my college daughter to use reusable bags for grocery shopping as well as general shopping and this tote would be a great start as she loves Vera Bradley items and is always up on the latest designs.

I celebrated Earth Day by teaching my students about the importance of taking care of our Earth. I would love to use one of these totes when I go shopping instead of using plastic bags :)

  • abbie wells says:

I am a teacher, and we celebrated by being “earth protectors”. We went a “earth walk”, each kid had a glove, the teachers had bags and we gathered trash that was laying around/

  • Cathy says:

I use reuseable bags for my grocery shopping, now I can have a Vera bag for real shopping.

    • Marsha says:

I love my Vera bags and use them constantly! I am a girlscout leader. Me and my co-leaders utilize the bags to carry our supplies in as we teach the girls the importance of re-cycling. The girls have been learning ways they can help mom and dad conserve water, and electricity at home. Also ways to help the environment by planting.

  • Michelle Love says:

Who were the winners? Just wondering :)

Hello, And Thank you for your time ~ In honor of Earth Day… and everyday we are given to be a part of this wonderful World that God has created… we need to think of Small & Large ways to not harm the beauty of what is around us ! I just found out about VB, hand bags & acces. They all have beautiful patterns & designs.. Our Ladies at Church are all ” Catching” on . I recycle, buy recycled… use the ” Green” bags… Sometimes they are not as strong as this one looks ! I am on a fixed income, Socl. Scr., so I have to save for a while to get one of your wonderful items… I LOVE that they can be washed ! Thank you so very much for your consideration ! And everything we do, if even in a small way is important !

  • Amy says:

We didn’t use paper products, but instead used washclothes, reusable bags, etc. Also planted in my garden and let baby play in the dirt. :)

  • Deepa says:

    Definitely French-inspired! :)

  • D says:

I work with adults who have disabilities. We have a current events class or some type of education class every Monday. We start talking about Earth Day at the beginning of the month and ask our clients to start thinking about what our “project” should be. I have to say, most ask to plant flowers and/or vegetables from seeds. This year we are planting herbs (dill, parsley&chives) and vegetables (tomatoes). We are also planting 2 sapplings . Why two you ask? We have been at our new facility for two years and the clients thought it would be nice to replace a tree or two that were removed from that piece of land. The final decision was today. The clients will going out to purchase the seeds & sapplings this week. I can’t wait to see them sprout!
    Thank you for your time,
    D
