Summer 2011 sneak peek

Liz Money, Fabric and Trend CoordinatorIt’s here! Settle in for a sneak peek at the sultry Summer 2011 collection with our friendly, fashion–forward Fabric and Trend Coordinator, Liz. That’s right; it’s more of the Liz on Location you love, coming to you from The Crescent City.

Intimate nights by the flickering hues of a campfire, a starlit evening at a local festival, a fantastically mild day on the beach, outdoor weddings, weekend barbecues, pool parties … The list of summer celebrations is endless and we have four new colors to help you make a statement at any summer soiree.

Summer 2011

This season, we were inspired by … flowers! Romantic, bold, micro, stylized, tossed, bouquets, oversized; you name it, and we were fond of it. The result: A group of Summer colors that’s anything but lacking in botanical beauty.

WatercolorWatercolor is a romantic pattern influenced by the painting style of its namesake and colored in soft, nostalgic hues that make you want to put on a flirty dress and take a long walk down a tree-lined gravel road.

Viva la VeraViva la Vera is a party, with a combination of animated florals and bold, bright primary colors. It screams, “Turn up the music!” and begs you to dance along.

English MeadowEnglish Meadow is the softer side of summer, with micro florals in blue, green and yellow. It’s a nod to slow summer days spent enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Deco DaisyDeco Daisy is black, white and red all over. We are loving the reemergence of red as a leading trend color. Deco Daisy boasts black and white Asian-inspired florals with a nod to the Art Deco (or Art Nouveau) movement with a sophisticated houndstooth lining.

Oh, we can’t wait for Summer! Just 10 days to go …
